Hey, I'm Trend (or Trend Fox) and I roam the internet looking for interesting topics to talk about and share my creativity. I enjoy all kinds of media such as movies, video games, anime, and TTRPGs, so if you like content like that, you will feel at home here. I hope to see you around.

Gave Gaslight District a watch. It's like a mix of Hazbin Hotel and Lackadaisy. It has all the same annoying tropes of indie animation (cackling psychos, senseless violence, "quirky" characters, headache-inducing visuals, and melodrama). BUT out of all of  ‪@GLITCH‬   animations so far, this one has the most effort put in its writing. There is a poetic nature to the narration that I always welcome. The characters have distinct voices that feel organic for this world. Their actions and motivations are coherent and justified. The world-building is a bit clunky but still intriguing.

If I wasn't so tired of the same indie animation clichés, I would look at this show more favourably.

In the next video, I'll be going over Digimon Tamers (Sub). We recently rewatched it on my Discord channel and I found it even better than I remembered. A masterclass in character-driven writing. Highly recommend. That being said, if you have any comments about this series or anything specific you'd like me to cover about it, let me know in the comments.

I had a chance to watch "Serial Experiments Lain." Profound and unsettling, this anime explores some pretty heavy philosophical themes while capturing them through its visuals. The shot compositions are extremely intentional and will push your brain to think more about them than the surface level.

If I had to critique it for something, it would be that it sometimes loses itself in its own philosophical ideas and jumps around from one to another while trying to tie all of them up, which will leave many (me included) confused.

However, that is kind of expected when with Psychological Cyberpunk Thrillers.

But that's why it's one of my favorite genres.

I'll be doing a little post-video Livestream talking about fan fictions while also trying to write my own. As such, I am curious, what are your favorite/least favorite fan-fiction tropes, common problems or something that you think fanfics can do better than original fiction. I think knowing knowing some points or questions beforehand would make the stream more constructive.

I'll see you there.

We are writing some intentionally bad fan fiction down on our discord server. Here's my attempt. I think I failed.

Should I continue this story?

Mission Accomplished!

We hit our first 1,000,000 views on a single video! It's an important milestone for this channel and one that came a little earlier than I expected. I'd like to say I had this all figured out, but honestly, I'm still experimenting with what kind of content I want to make and what kind of content my audience wants to watch! Hazbin Hotel was one of those hits that really gave the channel more focus.

But I will always appreciate the viewers who stick through the growing pains and find some entertainment or insight in my videos. Hopefully, I can keep improving and make more in the future.

Thank you for being part of this growing community.

As always, if you want to hang out with me along with other writers, YouTubers, and creators, I have a cheeky little discord: discord.gg/8QsSus28pW

Here's to a New Year and new opportunities.

Who started the myth that Arcane Season 2 was written by the same writers as season 1?

Only 2/6 writers returned to write Season 2.

You Lost:

Ash Brannon (S1 EP3)
Nick Luddington (S1 EP2 & EP7)
Ben St. John (S1 EP8)
Mollie St. John (S1 EP8)

You Gained
Amanda Overton (S2 EP4 & EP5) (Also Executive Producer)
Kristina Felske (S2 EP2)
Henry G.M Jones (S2 EP3)

4/9 Episodes were written by new writers and who knows how much influence Amanda had as an executive producer too (especially since she has focused on Vi's and Cait's relationship)

I would hardly call it the same writing team.
