On August 3, Dispatch reported that BLACKPINK’s Jisoo and actor Ahn Bo Hyun are dating, sharing photos of the two stars meeting up at Jisoo’s home.
In response to the report, Jisoo’s agency YG Entertainment and Ahn Bo Hyun’s agency FN Entertainment both confirmed, “They are getting to know each other with positive feelings,” and added, “We would be thankful if you look upon them with warmth.”

Korea’s largest music streaming site Melon recently released their monthly chart for January 2023, which shows NewJeans in all three top spots of the top 100! Their latest pre-release track “Ditto” jumped eight ranks to place first, while “OMG” debuted in No. 2 and “Hype Boy” from the group’s debut EP came in No. 3. Melon’s monthly chart reflects usage of the service over the past month and rankings are based on streaming (40 percent) and downloads (60 percent). Due to the time period this chart spans, consistent popularity is required to enter Melon’s monthly top 100, making NewJeans’ achievement that much more impressive. Before NewJeans, only two other artists have been able to land in the top three of Melon’s monthly chart. MC Mong did so in November 2014 with three songs from his fifth studio album “MISS ME OR DISS ME.” In April 2012, Busker Busker became the first-ever act to achieve this feat with “Cherry Blossom Ending,” “First Love,” and “Yeosu Night Sea” from their debut album. In addition to now being the only female artist to record this achievement, NewJeans is also the first-ever idol group to do so. Unlike MC Mong and Busker Busker who took over the top three ranks with songs from the same studio album, NewJeans has managed this feat with a single album and a song that is half a year old. Just six months into their debut, NewJeans has seen incredible success with their two albums, becoming million sellers for the first time with “OMG” and racking up an impressive total of 15 music show trophies. Their success goes beyond Korea, with the group recently scoring their highest peak on Billboard’s Hot 100 with “OMG” at No. 79. NewJeans is the fastest K-pop group to score multiple entries on the Hot 100 and only the third K-pop group to spend three weeks on the chart.

Earlier this week, TWICE earned their second entry on Billboard’s Hot 100 with “MOONLIGHT SUNRISE,” which made its debut at No. 84. The release of “READY TO BE” also comes a week after TWICE is honored with the Breakthrough Award at the 2023 Billboard Women in Music Awards.
