Hong Kong On Screen
About Hong Kong On Screen (HKOS)
The Hong Kong On Screen was founded in early 2022 in Los Angeles by a group of Hongkongers. HKOS is a non-profit film festival that aims to promote creativity and culture through art. HKOS, as the name indicates, is all about Hong Kong. The festival presents feature films, documentaries, forums, and many other types of works about Hong Kong - made in Hong Kong and by Hong Kong artists - to the community of greater Los Angeles.
Our mission is to preserve Hong Kong’s freedom of speech and promote diversity in Los Angeles through cinema, conversation, and culture. In our commitment to serving filmmakers and moviegoers, we hope to provide a platform for Hong Kong talents and stories.
