Proud papa, filmmaker, entrepreneur, and arm-chair philosopher John Papola explores the biggest issues facing our kids, our communities, and our country through the lens of fatherhood. We produce powerful stories, exclusive interviews, mini-documentaries, and deep dives on a weekly basis. Our goal is to build a movement of dads and could-be dads who embrace our heroic calling to raise a new generation ready to thrive in a free society and be champions of civilization. We’ve had all sorts of experts in the studio, including Jonathan Haidt, Dr. Drew, Michael Shellenberger, Bret Weinstein, Vivek Ramaswamy, and Adam Carolla.
New videos every Thursday.

I've been a fan of @Shoe0nHead for a few years, and this video really struck a chord with me, so I encourage you to check it out. We have our disagreements (mostly economics) but she's clearly coming from the fundamentally same moral core that I do, and I believe we're part of the same American identity that recognizes the sanctity of life, the right to pursue happiness, and the centrality of individual liberty protected by the rule of law (justified by the sanctity of life). These core American ideals, or the means to best achieve them perhaps, have been open to interpretations from the "left" (demanding radical change) and "right" (upholding good traditions) going back to the founding.
The people celebrating 9/10 are something else all together. Shoe grapples with this realization here, and it's worth watching, because she knows these people. She swims in their online world. And she is horrified by their proximity.
If you're a parent who's unsure how broad and deep the derangement of our society has become, and are seeing this because you tend to agree with me, please watch. It will be illuminating.

Here's a message we all need right now.
"On Wednesday, May 13, 1981, Mehmet Ali Agca pulled a gun and shot Pope John Paul II during a procession in St. Peter’s Square, Vatican City, Italy. Though critically wounded, the Pope survived four gunshot wounds to his abdomen. Following the shooting, Pope John Paul II asked people to “pray for my brother…whom I have sincerely forgiven”. In 1983, Pope John Paul II and Agca met and spoke privately at the prison where Agca was being held.
The Pope brought the photographer and the cameramen because he wanted the image in that cell to be shown around a world filled with unforgiving hatreds, with hostile superpowers, and smaller, implacable fanaticism."

I am shocked and shaken by the monstrous assassination of Charlie Kirk. My deepest prayers go out to his family, everyone around him who knew him... and for our country. I will have more to say about this with a little time to process it. This is a horrendous human tragedy and an attack on our civilization itself.

Happy Father's Day. If you're a dad, enjoy yourself. If you have your dad, grandfather, or even great grandfather, celebrate them! And if you're out there on your own, take a moment today to say "Someday, I'm gonna be the dad I want(ed) for myself".

Elon vs. Trump. Tech Bros vs. MAGA. Billionaire vs. Billionaire. I know that this public fight is consuming everyone's feed this week. And some of you have asked for my thoughts on it.
Here's all I've got:
- The public social media fighting is infantile on both sides.
- Elon's concern about the debt is correct, but his notions of how government actually works in our system seem naive.
- It's clear that Trump is prioritizing other campaign objectives rather than the debt, some of which are good and some of which are dubious.
- The House has a sliver of a majority with a one-term president, so there's no reason to expect bold Javier Milei-style transformation if the bond markets don't force it.
(P.S. Trump's DEFINITELY in the Epstein files and this isn't new information nor all that surprising/incriminating in and of itself)
But that's all politics. Basically just tabloid nonsense. I really prefer to go deeper on this channel than that so that we can grapple with what faces our families, community, and country together in a way that at least TRIES to be educational.
And the REAL lesson is that our fiscal problems are MUCH deeper than this one bill, and MUCH harder to fix given that large swathes of the voting public feel entitled to the largest drivers of the debt staying in place as is. And understandably so. If you want a deeper dive into that, please check out my Friday video from two weeks ago (attached).
Today's video, coming this afternoon, will instead be tackling our problems at the root: our education system. So stay tuned and enjoy some bone-chilling graphs while you wait...

I've been alluding to this new video the team and I have been slaving away at for the past few weeks, and now it's finally LIVE. Concern about climate change is a leading driver of anxiety for our kids. Up to 40% of young people have told surveys they never want to have kids of their own because of their perception of a climate "crisis".
Well, there are MORE sides to that story then they get in school. We're here to help!
THIS is the climate change debate I WISH we could see happen in the real world. These music videos are purpose-built for parents and teachers to prompt a lively debate in the world. Think "School House Rock" for the 21st century. Please share it far and wide if you like it. With deep gratitude! - John

Today’s a little different than most Thursdays—it’s a double-feature tariff extravaganza! I spoke with public policy experts Oren Cass, founder of American Compass, and Scott Lincicome, vice president of general economics at the Cato Institute, to dive deeper into both sides of the tariff debate dominating public discourse. I highly encourage you to check out both interviews and make up your own mind. My conversation with Oren will go live this afternoon, and my conversation with Scott will follow this evening—so keep an eye out for when they’re available to watch!

THIS is what we must save America from becoming. The far-left UK government, following in the spirit of its allies in the Biden administration before it, has stripped its citizens of end-to-end encryption options on Apple devices, which are generally the most secure on the market. It is the latest ASSAULT of the civilizational values at the core of our Bill of Rights here in America (especially our 4th Amendment protection of personal property from unreasonable search and seizure) and a stark warning of how under attack we all are by the woke reign of terror.
I breakdown what's happening across Europe and what it means for us as Americans here: https://youtu.be/xf_OZYsKDzw

For all you teachers and homeschooling parents out there, I wanted to let you know about the Economics Olympiad, the premier international competition in high school economics!
Registration for the 2025 Economics Olympiad has been extended to February 14!
Why should your students participate?
- A chance to represent the U.S. in Ancient Olympia, Greece: Five American students will compete in the International Economics Olympiad in the birthplace of democracy.
- Real-world skills for future success: The competition helps students connect economics and financial literacy to real-world scenarios. These are essential skills for careers in business, government, and beyond.
- No economics background required: Any secondary-level student, in a classroom or homeschooled, aged 14–20 can join—making this a perfect opportunity for students to explore economics, whether they’re beginners or budding experts.
Here’s how it works:
- School rounds will be held online in February 2025.
- The U.S. national competition takes place in April 2025.
- Winners will earn an all-expenses-paid trip to Ancient Olympia for the global finals.
By participating, your students will not only prepare for future challenges but also gain the confidence and skills to make a lasting impact in their communities and beyond.
