The HWRF model now shows a slightly earlier landfall of category 2 Hurricane Isaias now near Pensacola, Florida around 7-9 pm tomorrow.

Team Dominator science team is in-route to measure live surface wind data and launch sensors into the tornado-like whirls in the eye wall.

We also plan to chase the #tornado outbreak expected in the eastern semi-circle of Isaias as it moves inland

Here is Will Clay gearing up the science mission for Hurricane Isaias, which is still on track for approaching the central Gulf Coast (Mobile to Pensacola area) as a category 2 #hurricane with expanding wind field.

Team Dominator will be measuring wind speed and launching miniaturized sensors into the eye wall, targeting the tornado-like whirls.

TROPICAL STORM ISAIAS has already formed in the Bay of Campeche with an impressive satellite presentation this morning. Quick strengthening into a hurricane by as early as tonight is anticipated!

The National Hurricane Center has upped the intensity forecast even further, with 110 mph winds expected just prior to landfall along the central Gulf Coast the night of October 9.

This hurricane will likely be a prolific tornado producer as it migrates inland

TROPICAL STORM ISAIAS is organzing in the Bay of Campeche ahead of schedule! An increasing number of forecast models are predicting Isaias to explode to major hurricane status on approach to the central Gulf Coast October 9 PM into October 10.

This hurricane will also be a major #tornado producer as it moves inland through the Ohio River Valley, as the strong tropical cyclone will be interacting with an upper-level low to the west.

Team Dominator will be chasing this beast with a science mission, launching sensors into the eye wall including tornado like whirls. Stay tuned

WATCHING the potential for even a hurricane in the Gulf of Mexico from the tropical disturbance in the Bay of Campeche. Some forecast model members show a hurricane heading toward the central/eastern Gulf Coast around October 9-11 as it ejects northeast.

The storm relative wind shear is forecast to subside once the tropical cyclone moves northeast toward the Gulf Coast, which could allow strengthening into a hurricane.

Team Dominator is watching this closely and will likely head toward the Gulf Coast if this materializes. This is certainly worth watching!
