The woodland kingfishers are returning, filling the woodlands with their electric-blue flash and unmistakable call, nature’s very own alarm clock announcing that summer is officially in full swing.

Sunrise Safari Time Change
As the days grow longer and the birds begin their dawn chorus earlier, nature sets the pace, and we’re following along.
From 17 September, the Sunrise Safari will begin at 05:30 am CAT | 04:30 am BST | 20:30 pm PDT. With coffee in hand, join us as we head out on safari at first light, when the African bush is most alive.
Each morning brings a fresh story: predators returning from the night, herbivores starting their daily routines, and birds filling the air with calls. This is the wild as it wakes, unfiltered and live, just as it should be.
