so like i know nobody actually likes my channel and nobody will read this so heres my rant about dbd springtrap yay

It's so sad that this killer that people have been wanting for years and that has been so hyped up is so dang weak. In fact his power is the weakest in the game rn except dredge. The worst part is that BHVR aren't going to do anything about it because the chapter had positive reception and nobody really complained abt this. His axe's hitbox is so tiny, and if you miss (which you will basically always do because survivors don't run in straight lines like idiots, and it will still miss even if it hits them), guess what! You get killer instinct so you know where they are! Except if they know how to loop, then it's useless because there's practically no way to even reach them, because Springtrap is SLOW! In fact pretty much everything about his kit is SLOW. He teleports really slowly and whenever he does that the panel starts flashing on the door, which basically just says "LOOK HES TELEPORTING THIS IS YOUR CHANCE TO RUN 50000 METRES AWAY BEFORE HE EVEN REACHES YOU" because there's pretty much nothing he can do if you pre-run, coz once again, he's super slow. His axe is slow too and winding it up doesn't increase it's speed like huntress. Yeah you can do cool axe trick-shots but they're not practical.

But the worst part about his power is that he has NO WAY OF GETTING SURVIVORS DOWN. THIS IS A CRUCIAL PART OF A KILLER POWER, IN FACT MOST GOOD KILLER POWERS SPEFICIALLY CENTER AROUND GETTING SURVIVORS DOWN. If he hits a survivor with his axe, shouldn't they be slowed? Just like him when he's holding the axe. This makes NO SENSE AT ALL. Springtrap can break a pallet with a measly kitchen knife, but a survivor can sprint with an AXE IN THEIR BACK??? This would literally tie Springtrap's power together nicely with a bow, how did they not think of this??? Also survivors shouldnt be able to remove the axe without the help of another survivor. This way when Springtrap hits an axe shot, he can get a survivor down and on his shoulder, like trapper's traps, if a survivor gets caught he can grab them coz they cant move unless they wiggle free at a 16% chance. They should also just make springtrap a 4.4, because the only viable playstyle for him rn is hit and run, mainly because there's just no way to catch up to a survivor after getting a hit or a throw on them.

I know nobody in the plane of existence will actually see this but somehow I hope this reaches BHVR. Sorry if theres any grammar errors this is literally just my thoughts in a paragraph without any refinement.

I’m starting to realise that chapter 4 of Poppy Playtime SUCKS. It might be better with bug fixes, but nothing can fix the game’s clear lack of play testing, terrible telegraphing and underutilisation of characters. I will continue posting videos on the chapter, including a Poppy playtime movie with all 4 chapters.

I was filming that actually until Yarnaby actually appeared in his boss fight, he wasn’t there in my first play through and when he was there during filming, I didn’t know what to do and eventually he started spawn camping me.

It’s a real shame, I was really hyped up for this chapter. If you want my full steam review, here it is:

Poppy Playtime Chapter 4 is not a very good game.

It is a noticeable downgrade in quality since the third chapter, and I'd argue it's possibly even the worst of the chapters. First of all, the characters designs are severely lacking, Doey looks straight out of the terrible "Garten of Banban" series, if not, a little higher quality and Yarnaby looks almost exactly like a character from Roblox's "Rainbow Friends"

It is extremely buggy & laggy, on my first playthrough, Yarnaby didn't spawn. On my second playthrough he did, and he was extremely annoying to deal with. He spawncamped me and ultimately ruined a Youtube video I was creating at the time. Falling into the void will not kill you, you will fall indefinitely, things are badly telegraphed and the puzzles are just bad overall, they have to give you hints in the UI to help you solve them, and even still it's vague. Compare this to Half-Life 2, there is no UI telling you what to do and where to go, but the game telegraphs it in a way such that your immersion is never broken and you find the puzzle much more satisfying to solve.

This game was clearly not playtested, and the fact that they're charging $29 AUD is outrageous, robbery in broad daylight. The story is kinda all over the place. I severely hope they can at least make this game better through updates, and I hope the 5th Chapter is better.

I just beat chapter 4 and I’m kinda disappointed…

The characters all seem lazy, like Banban & rainbow friends lookin designs. The story was extremely predictable, the flare hand projectile has weird Roblox ahh physics.

And the bugs. FOR A $29 AUD GAME (way more than the superior chapter 3) THIS GAME IS SO BROKEN. You can’t change graphics in-level or your game crashes. The puzzles simply don’t work well, they show you unnecessary elements or even elements used in a later puzzle confusing you on what you’re actually meant to do. Like, there’s this one time where you’re supposed to use the handle as a flying fox, and ride down to the other side of the pit. But you can actually land on the other side without trouble. But you can’t get to the required place. However you can go back to an earlier place and break the sequence, bringing the doctor back to life. I mean come on, that swing handle was not obvious. Oh yeah also jumping into the void makes you fall indefinitely.

This is why you need to finish your games before you release it. Also PLAYTESTING IS IMPORTANT.
