The Lethargic Sloth

A lot of soul searching...that was what the last month has been. A fight to return. I had to dust off my dreams and learn to dream again....after about 2 years of sitting still. I don't want to stay down, I don't want to sit still. I want to LIVE. I had to look deep into my soul...the good...the bad...the ugly...the beautiful....take the good and leave the rest. Fix the negative feelings I have towards myself; that will always be a work in progress.

I want to find happiness again...to feel as happy as I was exploring the Galapagos Islands and Ecuador back in 2009. This is where I found my love of wildlife photography. I think I found the muse, the inspiration I need to not only live but thrive. That inspiration comes from my dreams...from the future...what I will do over the next year. There will be an epic trip, side travel videos from around the USA....and a long awaited return to somewhere I'm incredibly anxious to return to....a lot of memories, a lot of ups and downs. Not exactly the backyard I grew up in, but the state I was born....close enough. The prodigal son returns....home.....September 2023.


At any rate...this is going to be an interesting year. Thank you to all who have loved, supported, befriended, and been there for me over the past 7 years despite my flaws and insecurities...and sloth and procrastination. It starts today, a new journey, a new adventure...and I would appreciate it if you come along for the ride!

I'll be catching up on Eurovision reactions tomorrow (2/14). I had a mess trying to get audio/webcam working on the new computer and internet. Had to get another webcam but I think all is good and all issues and bugs are fixed now. Can't wait to review Albania, Israel, France, Lithuania, Croatia and Ukraine! Haven't heard news about any so it will be a total surprise. Tomorrow will be a great day. See you all soon! :-D

A glorious return is nigh. 2020 has been a trying and difficult year for most; for me that was no exception. I'm ready to kick 2020 on its ass and welcome 2021 and new opportunities and adventures with open arms and an open heart. Albania is calling, Sloth will answer. See you all soon! :-D

I'll be back very soon. Everything is okay here. We had some problems in my city and I had to switch from nights at work to days and back to nights so I'd been dealing with a fluctuating sleep schedule. ...but everything is okay here. I want to be much more consistent with my channel because this is what I love to do. I don't want to keep taking long breaks like this and I'm sorry that it keeps happening. I would love to get back to requests and learning about music. I have a series of videos about Eurovision 2015 already made ( My Top 10, Eurovision 2015 Song Tier List, Reaction to each of my Top 10 songs)...so I will probably start uploading those Sunday. I also want to do a review of the Will Ferrell Eurovision movie that came out today. I haven't seen it yet but perhaps I will watch it this weekend. Again, I apologize for just disappearing and I intend on having a schedule; one that keeps me active and is also manageable with my work schedule. I hope everybody is doing well out there in this crazy world we live in.

UPDATE: Sorry I have not posted in awhile. This COVID-19 panic is kicking my butt. I am considered an "essential employee" working the pharmacy so I have to work my normal schedule PLUS overtime. And....most bus routes are closed. So some days I get only 9-10 hours at home. I'm exhausted.....but I'll be posting videos soon....finishing reactions (Russia, Armenia revamp, Albania revamp)....my reaction to Eurovision being cancelled....and continuing YOUR requests. I'm not going to disappear again like last year; I'll use Sunday to rest and be back to posting videos on Monday, I promise. :-) I hope everybody out there is safe. I think about my friends here a lot in hopes that everybody is making it through this tough time.

Thank you all so very much for the birthday wishes! I've been tied up with work and trying to get just a little bit of sleep in between but I will get back to reactions tomorrow (Saturday) and/or Sunday. I'll cover Russia, the Albania revamp, Armenia revamp, Czech Republic revamp, and then the reviews will come....along with reactions to national finals acts that aren't going to Eurovision....and looking deeper into every singer from Eurovision 2020 by checking out some of their other songs! :-) Also short videos on growers....and making March picks for Semi-final qualifiers. That's my plans for the weekend. I hope everybody is staying safe with all going on in the world now. <3 P.s.- A sneak peak to the wildlife photography birthday video (it's still coming...I had some technical issues with a damaged SD card...fixed now I hope). Time for work again....
