We (from the UK) are NO LONGER WELCOME in 🌍 Mainland Spain, 🌍 Balearic Islands and the 🌍 Canary Islands.
Your video was 100% spot-on and accurate.
We went to a large hotel on the beach in Sa Coma, Mallorca in June for our 10th Wedding Anniversary.
The hotel ruined it. They made it clear that they wanted our money, but not us. 😮🤨☹️
I was so angry that I phoned Jet2 Holidays.
We've now ditched Spain. We now go with our spending money to a lovely Greek island. 🏝️
The staff and food are WORLD CLASS. WE ARE SO WELCOME! 🤗

Dave, first of all, thank you so much for your wonderful comment and congratulations on being selected as our Comment of the Week!
What an absolute shame that your 10th wedding anniversary was spoiled by such a disappointing hotel experience. That should have been a special occasion filled with wonderful memories.
After what happened to us in Spain, I can certainly understand your frustration. It's a shame when British holidaymakers spend their hard-earned money only to be made to feel unwelcome.
And you know what? **If a hotel doesn't appreciate our money or our custom, let's spend it somewhere that does!**
As you've rightly pointed out, Greece is a fantastic alternative. Beautiful islands, lovely people, wonderful food and, most importantly, somewhere you've been made to feel welcome.
Of course, there are plenty of lovely Spanish people and excellent hotels, and I wouldn't want to tar everyone with the same brush. But the hospitality industry needs to remember that tourists deserve respect, regardless of where they come from.
Thank you again, Dave. I'm glad you've found somewhere that appreciates your custom, and I hope you and your wife enjoy many more wonderful anniversaries together.

🇪🇸 **WE TRIED TO MAKE THE BEST OF IT… BUT WOULD YOU HAVE STAYED?** 🏨
🎬 **COMING THIS THURSDAY AT 4:15PM – OUR NEXT RANDOM AND DESPERATE VIDEO!**
After being told by the receptionist that all British people are drunks, our holiday at the Rosamar & Spa didn't exactly get off to the best start!
We'd paid over £1,400 for 10 days, so we weren't going to walk away without at least trying to enjoy ourselves.
We stayed for around three days. The buffet food wasn't the best, and the hotel itself needed some serious TLC.
But credit where it's due, the swimming pool area was fantastic! 🏊♂️ The location was great too.
It's such a shame because this hotel has so much potential.
But when someone insults you at the very beginning of your holiday, it's difficult to forget.

"The Woman shouldn't have said that, But it wasn't that long ago that I read that Spanish people really don't like British people going there on holiday because they cause trouble and don't know how to behave themselves. But I think it was more of a pop at the stag and hen do's that decide to go there for their partying. The first thing that struck me about your hotel room was that it was bright looking and clean. I know it lacked pictures on the wall and a bit of colour but If I had stayed in accommodation like that in Blackpool in the past then I would have been more than happy and probably would have remembered it as being good accommodation."

I really liked this comment because Crystal looked at the situation from both sides rather than just agreeing with everything I said.
And that's something I really appreciate!
Let's be fair, British tourists haven't always got the best reputation abroad, especially when it comes to stag and hen parties. But that doesn't mean everyone should be judged the same way.
I also liked how Crystal gave a completely different opinion about the hotel room. What one person finds disappointing, somebody else might be perfectly happy with.
That's the beauty of travelling and reviewing hotels. We all have different expectations, and that's absolutely fine!
At Random And Desperate, I don't expect everyone to agree with me. In fact, some of the best conversations come from people who see things differently.

🇪🇸😳 **THIS THURSDAY… OUR HOLIDAY DIDN’T GET OFF TO THE BEST START!**
Our brand-new **Random And Desperate** video comes out this **Thursday**, and this one definitely gave us something to talk about!
We’d only just arrived in Spain and checked into our hotel, but when we got to the room, we were disappointed. It just didn’t really look like what we thought we were getting from the pictures.
So Gypsy Girl went down to reception and politely asked if there was any chance we could change rooms.
During the conversation, Gypsy Girl said that things in Spain can sometimes be a bit slower than back home. She wasn’t trying to insult anyone at all — she simply meant that things can be done at a different pace compared with the UK.
Unfortunately, the receptionist appeared to take offence.
Then came the comment we definitely weren’t expecting…
😳 **“All English are drunks.”**
Gypsy Girl replied:
🏴 **“I’m not English, I’m Scottish.”**
And the response?
**“Same, same.”**
We were really disappointed. You’ve just arrived for your holiday, you’re trying to sort out your room, and the last thing you expect is a comment like that.
It certainly didn’t make us feel very welcome.
And what happened afterwards made us seriously question whether we wanted to stay there at all…

😂 I’m sorry, but as soon as I read **“Well honky tonk”**, it absolutely got me. It genuinely made me giggle!
They were commenting on the ridiculous price we paid for our meal for two, and to be fair, they’ve got a point. With the cost of living the way it is, paying that sort of money for one meal is definitely something you remember!
They also said they’re over 60, always watch their pennies and can get about **15 meals in Thailand for the same sort of price!** 😲🍽️
Some of the comments you lot leave honestly make my day. There are certain regular viewers who always come out with something that makes me laugh, and this was definitely one of them.

This Thursday we're starting a brand-new adventure on Random & Desperate, and this time we're heading off to sunny Spain! ☀️🇪🇸🍺

The idea was actually quite sensible. Stay at the airport the night before, have something cheap to eat, get a few hours' sleep and then simply walk across to the terminal ready for our ridiculously early flight.
Well… the sensible plan didn't last very long! 😂
We originally thought we'd just nip to Greggs for our tea. Probably spend around a tenner, have something quick and then get ourselves off to bed.
But then we thought — we're on holiday! 🍺😂
So instead, we decided to treat ourselves and eat in the hotel restaurant.
💷 OVER £140 LATER…😳😂
Let's just say our cheap first night of the holiday suddenly wasn't quite so cheap!
After the meal, there wasn't much time for celebrating either. We had an alarm set for around 2:30AM because we had one of those flights where you wonder why you even bothered going to sleep! 😴⏰
We dragged ourselves out of bed, left the Radisson Blu and headed into Manchester Airport ready to finally start the journey to Spain.
And after spending over £140 on our meal the night before, where did we end up for breakfast?
🥐 GREGGS! 😂
Exactly where we probably should have gone in the first place!
You'll see the hotel, our room, the expensive meal, our ridiculously early start and the beginning of our Spanish adventure.
