I'm a marine biologist and come with me to explore ocean news and the science behind viral animal stories. From orcas eating great white shark livers, Neil the Seal, the invisible barriers animals do not cross, to how we know Megalodon is extinct. My goal has always been to use my passion for animals like whales, sea otters, and walruses to form a connection with people and inspire them to engage in ocean conservation.

Last but not least is Daisy. She is my youngest ferret who was very young when she was found abandoned in an apartment parking lot in winter. When no one claimed her, she was taken to a ferret rescue where I adopted her (or she adopted me). She is extremely playful, social, and silly. Her nickname is Doofy because she is an absolute goof. She can be seen in my banner and several videos.

Another ferret who regularly makes a cameo in my videos is Fisher. He is Buddy's brother, but he is not quite the troublemaker his brother is. Fisher is incredibly sweet, snuggly, and lovey. The only thing he likes more than snuggles are snacks, which explains why he is so much bigger than all my other ferrets (he's twice the size of Shay). He got his name for the way he likes to splash in water.

The other ferret who made a cameo in my latest video is Buddy. He is a 5 year old boy who is full of mischief. He is an incredibly smart problem solver who gets into all sorts of trouble like climbing bookshelves, digging up plants, and hiding his brother's toys. He's named after Buddy the Elf because of all the problems he would cause despite having a big heart. He is slowing down as he gets older, and is nowhere near the monster he was when he was younger.

Every once in a while a ferret makes a cameo in one of my videos, but I don't know that I've ever properly introduced them to my YouTube audience. This is Shay, and she is my smallest ferret with the biggest personality. She is a rescued animal who came from a research lab. Her favorite hobbies are biting my toes, snacking on salmon oil, and bossing everyone around.
