26-year-old Calvin, who made a statement in the National Costume Competition, by showcasing National Hero, Nanny of the Maroons, is a native of Bath, St. Thomas, and is the cousin of @missworld 2019, @toniannsingh, will continue her reign and work as a registered behavioral technician, who provides therapy for children on the autism spectrum.

#News: It's a BIG deal indeed!!

Former 2nd-place runner-up at the 2017 @missuniverse Pageant, Jamaica's own @davinabennett, has finally achieved a model's dream, which is to have their own billboard in the heart of the world's most popular metropolitan city, New York.

26-year-old Bennett can be seen at the intersection of Lafayette and Houston Streets in Soho, as part of a @cynthiawolffjewelry campaign for the high end department store, @nordstrom.

In her social media post, Davina stated "I wish I had the words! I wish I knew what to say! But for the first time ever all I can do is cry! All I can do is lift my hands up to the sky and thank God for this! I have worked for 7 years trying and fighting to be a model! Sooo many nooos! So many doors shut in my face!!! I never gave up! I never stopped fighting! The little girl in me is screaming!!!!!!! This has been one of the longest dreams I’ve ever had! It is finally a reality!!!".

We're waiting to see if this campaign will be a slingshot towards greater things for Davina.

#BreakingNews: @floydgreenja is now a former Minister of Agriculture, as he was extracted from his position earlier today by his boss Prime Minister @andrewholnessjm.

The move comes less than 24-hours after an outrageous video appeared on social media (See timeline), depicting Green and friends including Councillor, Andrew Bellamy, at a private party toasting the "no movement days", which were instituted by Holness to help control a 3rd wave of Covid-19 infections.

It's understood that the Prime Minister, who was also disappointed and outraged asked for a quick resignation from Green, just hours before he faces parliament to discuss the next phase of measures to contain the virus.

Green's statement read in part "today, I have disappointed so many. My family including my son, my Prime Minister and most importantly, the people of Jamaica who I have sworn to serve.

No matter how briefly, and regardless of the circumstances, I should never have participated in any engagement that could indicate a lack of appreciation of the difficult and serious realities that now face the entire country.

My actions have demonstrated a lack of sensitivity for the difficult realities that all of us are facing currently."

Bellamy, who also appears in the video will be relieved of his duties on all state boards and committees of the Kingston and St Andrew Municipal Corporation.

The nation is now eager to hear from Prime Minister Holness on the matter.
