As the Islamabad Talks commenced, the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, held a meeting with the Vice President of the United States of America, His Excellency JD Vance.

Commending the commitment of both delegations to engage constructively, the Prime Minister expressed the hope that these talks would serve as a stepping stone toward durable peace in the region.

The Prime Minister also reiterated that Pakistan looks forward to continue its facilitation of both sides in making progress towards sustainable peace in the region.

وزیراعظم نے عوامی ریلیف کے لیے پٹرول کی قیمت میں 12 روپے اور ڈیزل کی قیمت میں 135 روپے فی لیٹر کمی کا اعلان کرتے ہوئے کہا ہے کہ پٹرول اب 378 روپے سے کم ہو کر 366 روپے اور ڈیزل 520 روپے سے کم ہو کر 385 روپے پر دستیاب ہوگا۔ موٹر سائیکل، پبلک ٹرانسپورٹ اور مال بردار گاڑیوں کے لیے سبسڈی بدستور جاری رہے گی۔ اللہ کے فضل و کرم سے خلیج میں جنگ کی نہیں، اب امن کی باتیں ہو رہی ہیں۔

The dignitaries reviewed the progress of Pakistan’s mediatory efforts to achieve sustainable peace in the region. The two leaders expressed satisfaction over the de-escalation achieved so far and stressed upon the need for maintaining peace and ceasefire by all parties. The leadership appreciated the restraint demonstrated by all sides and reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to facilitate and provide all out support to both the sides to arrive at a peacefully negotiated settlement.

The PM lauded the commitment of the parties involved in the process and wished them success in their pursuit of peace. He also renewed his invitation to the arriving delegations and assured them of the highest consideration and support by Pakistan.
