After all these years… We’re bringing a competitive event to life at home in 🏴
A lot of my content has focused on ‘in the same day’ tests of strength and endurance, as a way of measuring my ability as a hybrid athlete.
Now we’re bringing us all together to do exactly that 📈
27/03/27, East Fortune Race Circuit 📍
AM: MAX Deadlift (3 attempts)
PM: MAX Distance (6 hours)
With prize money (amount to be announced soon) on the line, but with real focus on pushing YOUR individual limits, I’m super excited to bring this to life with the OMNIA Performance team 🤝
Hello everyone! Just a reminder/letting you know that I have a (longstanding) podcast as well as the main channel 🎙️
We have recently gone through a hiatus and transitioned from The Modern Mind > The Tenacity Podcast, for reasons explained in recent episodes, but… WE ARE BACK 🫡
And with a runway of 14 guests already recorded, and plenty more scheduled in, I’m properly excited to build from here 📈
Murray (one of our Omnia Performance athletes) is an absolute savage, and has successfully achieved something I failed to achieve in 2023... A 500lbs deadlift + mile under 5 minutes total.
Really happy to see the team bringing our athlete's stories to life, please go and check out the series!
On 30th April-9th May I'm taking on 10 Ironmans, in 10 days, in 10 cities.
This is to mark 10 years on from my suicide attempt, and is a project designed to get men moving for the cause - amidst their local communities.
I have raised over £100k for Movember previously (2018-2021) - this time the aim is to raise funds for 10,000 potentially life saving phone calls provided by CALM (£122,000), and to involve as many of you as possible, for any distance at all.
In each city, we have private access to a pool, a closed cycle circuit, and an athletics track/public park - so that you can join for one length/lap > the whole duration, in a safe, controlled, and inclusive setting.
With a lot of noise around masculinity online at the moment - I'm hopeful that this project can bring us all together to set a positive example, that encourages men's mental wellbeing, movement, and supporting one another.
For context, I’ve always had one rule with my channel, for the sake of sustainability: create content that I want to create, rather than chasing virality.
It’s got me this far, and I’m confident will be the thing that gets me to 1,000 videos 📈
1) Diminishing returns.
Whilst I believe YouTube is the most powerful platform for personal brand/revenue generation/business development, it will be a long time before you see any tangible return on investment (time or money) BUT…
2) The skill acquisition is the reward.
Learning to concept, script, structure, present, film, edit, review, package, and upload YouTube videos consistently will massively develop your digital/presentation skills 📈
3) Minimum buy in.
I firmly believe, unless you’re willing to commit to 1 video a week, no questions asked, for 52 weeks - then I would focus on a different platform until you reach that conviction.
4) Minimise spend.
Tying a few of the above points together… For those first 52 weeks, I believe that the only way to create a sustainable channel is by doing it yourself to begin with. Outsourcing before you have experienced the process comprehensively yourself will prevent successful outsourcing.
5) Packaging > product.
You could create an Oscar-worthy masterpiece, but if it’s not packaged (title + thumbnail) correctly, then no one will see it… The ‘product’ is obviously just as important, but I overlooked the importance of the ‘packaging’ for far too long.
Here’s to the next 500 🫡
Thank you for being an incredible audience, I appreciate you all! 🤝
