If you weren't already aware...

On 30th April-9th May I'm taking on 10
Ironmans, in 10 days, in 10 cities.

This is to mark 10 years on from my suicide attempt, and is a project designed to get men moving for the cause - amidst their local communities.

I have raised over £100k for Movember previously (2018-2021) - this time the aim is to raise funds for 10,000 potentially life saving phone calls provided by CALM (£122,000), and to involve as many of you as possible, for any distance at all.

In each city, we have private access to a pool, a closed cycle circuit, and an athletics track/public park - so that you can join for one length/lap > the whole duration, in a safe, controlled, and inclusive setting.

With a lot of noise around masculinity online at the moment - I'm hopeful that this project can bring us all together to set a positive example, that encourages men's mental wellbeing, movement, and supporting one another.

Side note - what does masculinity mean to you in the modern world?

5 lessons from 500 YouTube uploads 🎥

For context, I’ve always had one rule with my channel, for the sake of sustainability: create content that I want to create, rather than chasing virality.

It’s got me this far, and I’m confident will be the thing that gets me to 1,000 videos 📈

1) Diminishing returns.

Whilst I believe YouTube is the most powerful platform for personal brand/revenue generation/business development, it will be a long time before you see any tangible return on investment (time or money) BUT…

2) The skill acquisition is the reward.

Learning to concept, script, structure, present, film, edit, review, package, and upload YouTube videos consistently will massively develop your digital/presentation skills 📈

3) Minimum buy in.

I firmly believe, unless you’re willing to commit to 1 video a week, no questions asked, for 52 weeks - then I would focus on a different platform until you reach that conviction.

4) Minimise spend.

Tying a few of the above points together… For those first 52 weeks, I believe that the only way to create a sustainable channel is by doing it yourself to begin with. Outsourcing before you have experienced the process comprehensively yourself will prevent successful outsourcing.

5) Packaging > product.

You could create an Oscar-worthy masterpiece, but if it’s not packaged (title + thumbnail) correctly, then no one will see it… The ‘product’ is obviously just as important, but I overlooked the importance of the ‘packaging’ for far too long.

Here’s to the next 500 🫡

Thank you for being an incredible audience, I appreciate you all! 🤝

Check out the latest episode of ‪@thetenacitypod‬ with Sean Conway here - one of the world's most accomplished athletic adventurers, and most notably, has completed 105 Ironmans in 105 days...

We break down that experience, the journey that got him to the start line, and what's next.

An absolute privilege to be on the cover of Men’s Health train feature for January, alongside Ed Sheeran🤝

I’m even more excited that myself and OMNIA Performance were given the opportunity to deliver ‘The Beginner’s Guide To Hybrid Training’ as part of this new print format - we believe in the power of training this way as a powerful mechanism for self-development, so to be able to break that down for others to experience is a huge moment of pride 🫡

2 magazine covers ticked off, both portraying me as a robust cold water swimmer…

…which is ironic, given that the weekend just gone has demonstrated that such abilities have gone dormant 😂

Please let me know/tag me if you manage to pick up a copy ✌🏼

My biggest achievement EVER ✅

(Within my 15 years of lifting)

Tonight at 7pm, we will release a video I’m enormously proud of, both in terms of the feat, and the media itself.

Iceland is a very special place, as is the history of this: The Húsafell Stone.

I hope we have brought it to life suitably for you all…

Only the strong survive. Fullsterkur.

Live tonight at 7pm (GMT) 🎦

A fantastic conversation with Dr Phil Price on the reality of Hybrid Training (and how the term has become much more diluted than originally intended, but for very positive outcomes 👀)
