I am a football lover just like you. I love all things football stats and tactics, and I decided to start a YouTube channel to connect with fellow football nerds. My end goal is to work professionally in the sport, and this channel may help me achieve that dream!đź’Żđź’«

TIPS FOR STRIKERS [ Do Quick mental checklist before you press the opposition CB's (CF) ]
Ask yourself in 0.5 seconds:
- Are my wingers/AMs high & goal-side?
- Are mids within 10–15m and covering lanes?
- Is the backline pushed up with me?
- Is there an obvious free man I’m leaving?

NB: If answer to any is “No” → "DON'T PRESS FULL SPEED". #Fake it, delay, or drop. For example:
- Elite CF often refuses to press when their teams’ shape is stretched — they drop and screens instead. They Never sprints 30m to press a calm CB — they waits and intercepts.
RULE OF THUMB: Press when it hurts them. Don’t press when it only hurts you. Patience is part of world-class pressing.

TEAMS AND PLAYERS FREQUENTLY TARGET THE FAR POST!! WHY?? [Because Goalkeepers Cheat Toward the Near Post] Read below 👇 to understand what I mean!!💯🤞

-> Goalkeepers position themselves to cover the larger open area, which is usually the far post from an angled shot. They often "cheat" a bit toward the near post because:
- A near-post shot requires more power and precision (it's a tighter angle).
-> If they misjudge a far-post attempt, it's harder to recover across their body.
NB: Shooting or crossing "across the goalkeeper" exploits this positioning, forcing them to stretch farther and increasing save difficulty.

BALLS INTO THE" Corridor of Uncertainty" MAXIMIZING THE CHANCE OF SCORING.

-> The "corridor of uncertainty" is a term in football that refers to the dangerous zone between the goalkeeper and the defensive line, typically around the six-yard box. It’s an area where neither the goalkeeper nor the defenders are fully in control, making it an ideal place to deliver low crosses or cut-back passes.

-> If the goalkeeper comes off their line to claim the ball, they risk missing it or leaving the goal exposed.
-> Defenders running toward their own goal face the danger of scoring an own goal if they attempt a clearance.
-> Strikers arriving in this zone can easily finish first-time, often facing a disoriented defence.
NB: These types of crosses are effective with the movement-heavy, quick-combination style of play.

Why 1st touch is Crucial as a wide player football?? [Beating Defenders 1v1]
NB: Wingering thrives on isolating and beating the full-back. Your first touch often creates (or loses) the advantage:
-> If the defender levels with you → take an aggressive, directional touch forward to explode past them.
-> If they're deeper → guide the touch inward to pin them and open space for a (A)cut-inside, (B)cross, or (C)combination with overlapping teammates.
NB: A precise first touch can flick the ball past the opponent or set up an immediate dribble, turning a simple reception into a dangerous attack.

Here's why this Cross, [Photo:1] a Cross Between a Goalkeeper and the defense is one of the most dangerous attacking moves. One of the reasons is that it Exploits Disorganized defending and also it beats the GK's Positioning. WHAT DO I MEAN?? I simply mean this, [Photo:2] when the Ball is Wide, the defense is often focused on the Ball Carrier. [Photo:3] This leaves gaps between the GK and the defense. [Photo:3] So a Quick, Low Cross into this Space arrives before defenders can recover. Even the GK have Less reaction time, So Speed of Execution turns a wide attack into Goals

[Photo:1] HOW TO BEAT A 4-2-4 MAN PRESS DURING BUILD-UP?? [Photo:2] NB: If you are against a 4-2-4 High man press during Build - up, Use a 5-2-3 Formation to beat the press. [Photo:3] For example: the GK has the ball and your Shape is like this, if the opposition Press like this, tell your RW/LW to become Narrow close to CF in the Center. [Photo:4] This will help you to beat the press, if your decides to go Long. For example: a successful Long Ball to a target man(CF), this CF Can lay down the ball to them(LW/RW) or [Photo:5] Flick it behind the CB for RW to run behind. [Photo:6&7] If not a Long Ball to a CF, the RB / LB can push up to receive a Long Ball in this area, [Photo:8&9]if the opposition RB / LB Presses them, the space behind is Opened for RW / LW to Run into.

Viktor Gyökeres’ 2025-2026 Premier League goal tally is tough to predict after a poor debut against Manchester United, with no shots and minimal impact. His debut showed adaptation issues, and Arsenal’s system may not maximize his output. According to my opinion I suggest a scoring drop-off, projecting 12-16 goals. But fans hope for 20+, but that’s unlikely without quick adjustment. I estimate 12-16 goals, with 18-20 possible if he finds form early.

Harsh reality to players:
--> If you’re consistently underperforming, the doubters hate you to the Core, and on the coaches view you’ll be benched or sold. The striker role is cutthroat—your value is in the net. So step up, bury the chances, and let the scoreboard do the talking.

My thoughts 💭 on: #KaizerChiefsfc releasing #tebogopotsane.👇

Tebogo Potsane’s Injuries and inconsistent form led to his exit as Chiefs reshape their squad for the 2025/26 season under coach Nasreddine Nabi. He's exit exposes his inability to adapt or deliver consistently. He might find a lifeline elsewhere, but his age and form suggest a steep challenge ahead. Chiefs’ focus now must be on securing proven attackers to avoid another lackluster season.
