And we’re kicking off the season with something that feels unmistakably KPV: a dystopian sci-fi action horror movie about a public school terrorized by heavily armed gangs, killer cyborg teachers, and Stacy Keach’s mullet.

It may be sci-fi first, but Class of 1999 is horrifying in its own special way.

Jeff Speakman is BACK.

After twenty years away from the Hollywood machine, The Perfect Weapon star is returning in Lost Echoes, a new supernatural thriller adapted from Joe R. Lansdale’s novel.

I’m stoked! I’m also slightly skeptical. The project sounds sincere, Speakman clearly believes in it, and I want to see him to get the comeback he deserves.

Roland Emmerich made Moon 44 for about $2.5 million dollars and shot a good chunk of it in his dad’s furniture warehouse—and it looks like it could exist in the same world alongside Alien, Outland, and even Blade Runner.

Super bummed to hear that James Lew has passed away.

If you grew up watching martial arts or action movies from the '80s and '90s, you've seen his work even if you didn't know his name. He was an incredible martial artist and had great screen presence. He usually played a henchman, but I always enjoyed seeing him turn up in movies like The Perfect Weapon, Best of the Best, and Showdown in Little Tokyo no matter the role he played.

Rest in peace, James Lew. Thank you for the memories. 🥋🎬
