At about 4:15 a.m. on Wednesday, crews in Colorado Springs were called to a busy intersection where a small plane had crash-landed.

"3 occupants on board, all parties accounted for with no injuries," the Colorado Springs Fire Department wrote on social media.

It's the 24th anniversary of September 11, 2001, the day that changed the United States forever. Nearly three thousand people were killed in the terrorist attacks.

Today, Americans across the country and our state will commemorate and honor the lives that were lost. Locally, Pueblo will be hosting its annual 9/11 ceremony along the Pueblo River Walk at 8:00 AM.

The family of a son who was murdered and the other shot 5 times, with still no arrests, is now stuck with a $58,000 bill from the helicopter company that airlifted their son because insurance says the chopper was out of network.


The family appealed it as an emergency, but it was denied. Now pressing the insurance company for what is going on, and what does constitute as an emergency?
