Real maturity is when your du’a changes from: ‘Ya Allah, I want this’ to ‘Ya Allah, give me what is good for me.’”
Trust is when you want Allah’s plan more than your own.

At first, you ask Allah for what you want.
But as your heart matures, you realize… His plan is better than your dreams.

But perhaps you hate a thing and it is good for you
(Surah Al-Baqarah 2:216)
True du’a is saying: “Ya Allah, give me what will bring me closest to You — even if I don’t understand it yet.”
