This is Neon Dream Games, a developing indie game studio. On this channel I will discuss my journey as an indie game developer, creating video journals about the ups and downs of creating and releasing indie games. I will also talk about subjects related to game development as well. You might even catch me playing a game or two on here to learn more about the indie scene and what is out there. There could be tutorials, or reviews on software that help in game development as well. Whatever relates to games and game making will be featured here. Join me on my journey!
Neon Dream Games
Hey guys, I'm still working behind the scenes on a few other projects. I haven't had time to work on game development. To be honest, I'm feeling a bit rusty in that area and I might have to go back and do some tutorials again to get back into the groove when I have time to work on it again. I'm hoping I'll have my projects in a stable place soon and can begin to start making games again. That's my brief life update.
So this week I'm playing games again. This time Kingdom: New Lands. I know these Let's Play videos don't garner the best views but I enjoy them and they will likely become part of the channel for me going forward to some extent. It gives me a chance to test out what others are doing in the gaming world and hopefully provides some content you all enjoy. Let me know what you think of this game. I had some mixed feelings, but you can check out the video to see why.
If you're interested in buying the game I'd love for you to use my affiliate link to get it on greenman gaming. It's a website where I go all the time to get discount Steam codes for games. It's totally legit and I've used it for years now. On top of it's discounts, it's also tax free from my experience with it, so you save money there as well. Anyway, check out the game here: greenmangaming.sjv.io/GKVbOE
That's it for now, if there are any games you'd like to see me try then let me know in the comments and I'll consider it or see if I already own the game. Thanks!

Hey everyone! Thought I would try out this community post thing for once. I'm back this week with another Let's Play video for the game Behind the Frame. After playing Twisted Tower last week I wanted something a bit more cozy to try out, and this game scratched that itch perfectly. You might be asking yourself..."Where are the Devlog videos or Game Design videos?" Well, I explain it a but in this weeks video, but the short answer is that I have several other side projects I'm working on and they need my current time and energy to get up and running. Game dev is going to have to a pause for the moment while I work on those projects. But in a way it's a good thing because I never get time to play single player games and this will give me and excuse to play some each week for about an hour.
I think it's good for game developers to play games from time to time to see what other people are making. It helps to get ideas and it's just fun to see what things others are coming up with. I'm going to try to play these games as both a gamer trying out a game but also a game developer and maybe give some thoughts or critiques at times from that perspective.
That's my life right now. Everything I'm doing is bring me one step closer to becoming full time at home with both game dev and youtube. It's a tough journey but I'm determined to get there. So hopefully you understand and enjoy these Let's Play videos for a bit. If you have any suggestions for future Let's Play videos, like any games you think I should play, let me know in the comments. I might already own it as I have a crazy huge Steam library.
I might try to start using this community post section for more in depth updates like this or polls or whatever else in the future. I'm not big on other social media platforms, I really just love and use Youtube all the time, so this might be where I land with social media. One final mention, I can't do memberships yet on Youtube until I reach certain milestones that I'm getting closer to. But until then I started a Ko-Fi account and will post the links for it in all my videos going forward. By no means do you have to, but if you'd like you can give me a tip or even set up a recurring donation if you'd like at this link below:

Again, no pressure, only if you find my content interesting or valuable and want to support my channel further. I would greatly appreciate it and thank you, but either way I'll keep making videos for you guys. Until next time, keep Youtubin' It Up!
