I started this project on August 18, 2020
My goal is to provide more views of the 2011 tsunami for educational purposes.
Much of my work is sourced from scouring the internet.
Much of my work is also helped by close friends.
Using any of my work can put your channel at risk of copyright by news stations.
Note: This is an ARCHIVE channel, I do not consider whether people enjoy it or not.

Happy 5th year of archiving!
Today, August 18, marks 5 years since i started the archive.
Believe it or not, I started when I was 10 and now im 15.
I never thought I'd make it this far, and I'm glad 'cause ive made many friends online with the same passion as i do
My friend's efforts are also now being recognized by bigger organizations!!
Now, I celebrate with my small laptop and a small cake

We may have just gotten the tallest tsunami in modern history.
On August 10, 2025, a massive landslide occured at Tracy Arm, Alaska, USA. Satellite imagery reveals the tsunami may have reached over 500m (1,640ft). This is just 24m short of the 1958 Lituya Bay megatsunami which is at 524m. This is just preliminary and further surveys will reveal the true scale of the tsunami.

A magnitude 8.8 earthquake has struck Kamchatka, Russia. Almost the entire pacific basin is under tsunami warning, watch, or advisory.
The tsunami has been observed to be 3-4 meters. We have made an archive channel which will archive the earthquake and tsunami.

A project in the works since 2020, here's a video map of the 2011 Tohoku Tsunami!
アマチュアカメラマンと報道局の両方による900以上の映像が収録されている。
It includes over 900 footage, from both amateur photographers and news stations.
現在は英語版のみだが、日本語版も準備中。
Currently only available in English, through a Japanese Language Version is in the works.
私たちは、アーカイブと地図の両方の進展を進めるために、主要な報道ステーションと協力していきたい。
We'd like to work with major news stations in furthering the progress of both the archive and the map.
