Which hair product was a staple in your household?!
I remember one day my grandmother walked in the house with two HUGE jars of Dax. She was so proud of the deal she got! haha
...It's the smell of my childhood.
That and Sulfur 8!

Washing your hair once a month is sabotaging your hair growth! 🚿
Here’s why:
1️⃣ Product & Oil Build-Up:
Over time, natural oils, dirt, and hair products will accumulate on your scalp and hair strands. This leads to clogged hair follicles and weaker hair growth.
2️⃣ Dryness:
Lack of moisture can cause your hair strands to become brittle and more prone to breakage.
3️⃣ Tangles & Mats:
The longer you go, the harder it is to detangle without damage.
4️⃣ Scalp Health:
A neglected scalp can weaken your roots.
I always recommend washing and deep conditioning your hair once a week for a healthy scalp and hair growth. This way you don’t even give your hair a chance to get dry.
How often do you wash your hair??? 👀💆🏾♀️🫧🧖🏾♀️

Wash & gos beat my fine hair right up 😩
Every time I would try the style, it would leave my hair in tangles and knots.
Once I learned to stop forcing styles and actually find what works for my hair, it started to flourish.
Now I focus on what my hair actually loves: moisture, stretch, and low manipulation hairstyles.
It’s all about finding your version of healthy 💕
Do you prefer your hair curly or straight???

Today marks 4 years since opening my salon! 💇🏾♀️ 🎉
And this year makes 10 years since I dropped out of college and enrolled in cosmetology school.
Wow! I’m too young to throw out numbers like these lol
If you told 9 year old Mirna, who had a flaky scalp and recovering bald spots, that she was going to be a hairstylist, I wouldn’t have believed you.
I didn’t choose hair, hair chose me.
After 3 years of feeling stuck and being depressed in college, I decided to do my first big chop. (You know, anything to feel like you have control over something in your life)
That big chop sparked my obsession with natural curly hair and how to better take care of it. I started a blog to document everything I was learning.
After some time I was like, “Wow, I care more about hair than what I’m learning in school.” Of course everyone around me told me to stay in school for my last year and a half. But I couldn’t bare to do another day, so I dropped out and 2 months later I was in beauty school.
That was ONE of the HARDEST decisions I ever had to make. I disappointed a lot of people at first. But at the time, where everything felt dead, hair was the only thing giving me life… It fuels and supports me to this day!
All this to say…Y’all make that hard decision that you know your soul is assisting you to make. It will always be worth it.
Thank you to my clients, customers and community for never making work feel like work and always supporting me and my small business. You all truly mean the world to me. It’s been an honor to be your hairstylist 🙏🏾💖

For healthy thriving curls, you have to make sure you're washing, moisturizing, and sealing your hair on a CONSISTENT basis.
I recommend cleansing your hair with a moisturizing shampoo and deep conditioner every 7 - 10 days. Then using a leave in conditioner and Oil to style and refresh your hair as needed.

Lately a lot of clients have been asking me how can they grow out their hair?
They say it seems like their hair has been stuck at a certain length for years.
Your hair is always growing even if it may not seem like it. The key to retaining length is all in how you consistently show up for your hair.
Use the tips below to help you build your healthy hair regimen for longer growing hair.
