Self-care has become a phenomenon—everyone is going to the spa, eating healthy foods, even setting time aside to go to retreats. All of this is good, but what about the inner world of your older version of yourself? Unfortunately, with life forever moving forward, it's hard to set aside time to visit the past and help those old wounds heal.

What if you could go back in time to do just that—revisit those areas where you just didn't have the time nor the courage to do so? This is called shadow work.

### Why Shadow Work Matters

Many people will deny that this is needed in order to move ahead in life. If you're anything like me, this is much needed. Have you ever wondered why you can't get to the next level—be it financial, relationship, or a sense of calm? More than likely, your shadow self requires your attention.

### Tools to Help You Heal

Here are a couple of tools that will help you do just that:

1. **Forgiveness:** Hold space for yourself, understanding that you are not to be held accountable for something that happened to you so long ago. Why? Because you are no longer that person.
2. **Set Time Aside to Breathe:** Practicing breathwork will help you to relax and realign your thoughts, enabling you to think more clearly while healing your nervous system at the same time.
3. **Bonus - Journaling:** This simple yet powerful act of writing will further help cement all the inner work you've just done.

## In a Blink of an Eye: Breathwork and Manifestation

Whenever it's time to dream of a life that once was or could be, many people start to close their eyes as if the dream will come to life once their eyes open—well, at least they hope so. This is not uncommon; in fact, many people do this when they are manifesting a desired outcome.

I myself find myself doing this, usually first thing in the morning. This is when the frontal lobe is at its peak due to fewer distractions.

### Bringing Dreams into Reality

The question here is: how can we bring into reality what we have yet to experience?

**The answer: Breathwork.**

Think about it—whenever you are experiencing an emotion that is not welcome, whether you are aware of it or not, you start to breathe deeply. This is usually a sign that your nervous system is being interrupted.

So what if you used this same technique to pull in your desired emotion?

### The Power of Intentional Breathing

Not only will you be channeling in the imagination and thoughts you desire, but you're also calming your nervous system. Two for two—they work hand in hand, building faith in the conscious mind, which will promote your reality.

This has been a game changer for me. With all the noise and distractions in our daily lives, silence allows for healing as well as manifesting.

## Face Your Fears or Move On

Every day, people are confronted with the one person they can't get away from: themselves. With all the distractions in the world, it's very easy to go through life numb. Millions of people are living their lives as if they're walking zombies. Why? Well, it's much easier to stay numb than confront the pain of life's uncertainties. Can you blame them?

Specialists have noted that fear is at the forefront of people's inability to face some—or even most—of life's realities. But what happens when the numbing no longer works? What then? Life's challenges await.

### The Courage of the Trojans

The Trojans in Greek mythology were courageous not because they were strong or angry in battle. Although skillful, they had something that many revered: their ability to move past their fears to obtain victory—even die for it.

### Who Would You Become?

What kind of person would you become if you moved forward while being fearful? Would you build these businesses? Should you move to the other side of the world 🌎? Would you allow yourself to fall in love again? Or would you become the highest version of yourself?

Only time can tell. One thing for sure is you would be living a life worth living.

## Breathwork: Does It Really Work?

Every day, people are moving about, going about their daily routines—picking up their kids from school, going to work, hanging out with friends. While doing all of this, they never stop to think about how everything they do is having an impact on their body. I mean, why should they? God saw fit to design our bodies so we don't have to think about our breath or our biorhythms—it works like a motor.

But what happens when that motor needs a tune-up? Like anything, without the proper care, things start to go awry. This is where breathwork comes in.

### The Science Behind Breathwork

Studies show that when you set aside 5 to 10 minutes a day to concentrate on your breath, your nervous system becomes relaxed, allowing not only your body to relax but your mind as well. This is important when it comes to decision-making.

I don't know about you, but I find it hard to think straight if I'm not in a calm state. I believe many of us feel the same way.

### The Benefits Are Real

With just 5 to 10 minutes a day, you can completely change your ability to see things in a more healthy state, giving you a sense of self-confidence that will not only boost your immune system but also help clear your aura—something I believe you can always benefit from.

Use breathwork to clear not only your mind but also clear your life. Who knows who or what you'll get rid of?

# Time Is Money: How Are You Wasting It?

As we get older, time has become a rich person's sport. How much can we squeeze in? How much can we give? And how much time do we have for ourselves? These are all questions I believe are at the focus of any person who wants to get ahead in life, no matter their goals.

Most people live their lives in quarters and don't even realize it—which makes sense after all, there are four seasons in the year, well, at least in the northern hemisphere. So why let life drag and pass you by?

## The Evolution of Our Circle

As humans, we naturally dedicate ourselves to our family and our communities—something that continues during our evolution. But what happens when that circle of evolution changes?

One of the things turning 50 taught me: **dreams are meant to come true**. Just because life has changed—the kids are adults, retirement has reared its head—doesn't mean life is over. Yes, things are different. For one, the gray hairs are here to stay. Our bodies are constantly changing. Your mind is too—you have evolved into a different person. Life has left its mark on you!

## The Gift of Perspective

Your ability to see life through different lenses is a gift, and no, I'm not talking about your glasses—well, maybe that too! 😂 Seriously, your gift is what the younger generation needs, even if they may not realize it. Did you when you were younger?

Getting older doesn't have to be something that is feared—it's a rite of passage. **You determine what your path looks like.** Your ability to shine bright while others frown is the light this world needs, so keep on smiling. Your gifts are part of what the universe requires in order to see things through.

# Why Does the Disney Princess Always Win?

When I was a young girl, Disney movies were all the craze. Like most young girls, I too wanted to be a princess. Was it because of their pretty dresses, lovely big castles, and fancy jewels? In the beginning, I believed it was so. Now that I'm older and wiser, I believe it's so much more.

Today, let's dive deeper as we explore the dark side of a Disney princess.

## Number 1: The Family

In most cases, the princess has found herself an orphan—at least from one parent—and the loss of a mother is usually the case. As most fathers, longing for the company of a woman, he falls in love again and marries another.

## Number 2: The Siblings

Now a blended family, the princess is found with the task of having to make her newfound family feel welcomed.

## Number 3: Deception

This is where the game of "who will find favor in the king's eyes" begins. Of course, because of grief and newfound happiness, he's blinded to his daughter's—the princess's—misfortune.

So where does this leave the princess? She has now become an afterthought, no longer the apple of her father's eye—well, at least it feels like that, something her new siblings made sure of.

## What Makes the Disney Princess So Special?

Now we all know the story, but what we haven't looked into is what makes the Disney princess so special. I believe it's her **grace**—her ability to remain calm and poised. In the midst of her pain, she's able to remain silent, not destroying her father's happiness. She remains silent. She does what she is told without any acknowledgment of her hard work.

I believe most women have felt like this: closing the big deal at the firm only to have someone else take the credit. Cooking a nice meal for the family only to have no one show up. Pain and disappointment—unfortunately, too many women know all too well.

Seeing a Disney princess win gave us girls hope. Despite seeing the pain that our mothers, aunts, sisters, and friends went through, it gave a sense of hope that maybe one day, I too can be chosen to live in a big, bright, shiny castle.

## You Are Royalty

Well, I'm here to tell you: **you can**. Your survival instinct has acclaimed you to be royalty in your own life. The fact that you've survived all that life has thrown at you makes you a winner 🏆—something that no Disney princess can say they went through. What is that? **Becoming YOU!**

Celebrate your you. Why? Because you never gave up. You now know you're powerful and wonderfully made. You no longer need childhood themes to inform you of who you are. Why? Because you know, and you can't unknow what God has put in your heart ♥️

# Would You Bet on You?

Whenever someone is asked who their biggest supporters are, most would say a close family member or friend—if you're lucky, you could say both. But the real question is: **Would you bet on yourself?**

Think about that question for a minute. How does it make you feel?

This is a question I've confronted myself with many times. Most times, it was a hard yes. But as time progressed and my goals became bigger, that pit in my stomach started to grow. The question echoed louder: *Would you bet on you?*

As I sat with that question, a faint, distant voice said **YES!** Yes to the dream that once seemed impossible. Yes to all the times I looked the other way, fearful of acknowledging the painful truth: **"No one is coming to save you."** This is a fact.

You too have that same voice, that hunger inside you that can no longer be silenced with pretty, shiny things. No more are the days where settling is an option. You have now crossed over to the part of you that has been waiting for you to get to this point.

See, you now understand through pain and suffering that you are able to overcome whatever has been put in front of you. It's called being a **survivor**. With this newfound strength, creating the life you always knew you deserved is in the forefront—all you have to do is reach out and grab it.

## What If You Had It All—Then What?

Many people spend their lives dreaming of a future they believe will finally bring them happiness. They fantasize about the next big deal, receiving a proposal from that long-time love, or reaching financial freedom. But here's the question most people never ask: **Then what?**

Most people never get to the "after." They're stuck in the "now" or trapped in the "if only." This is a poisonous way of thinking. When you choose to live in this space, you're met with anxiety and depression. Why? Because reality has a sting to it.

You may very well be on your way to getting the financial turnover you've been dreaming of, but here's the truth: **the person who is unprepared is prepared to fail.**

Success without preparation is a recipe for disaster. That's why so many lottery winners go broke, why relationships fall apart after the wedding, and why people who reach their goals often feel empty afterward. They reached the destination but never developed the capacity to sustain it.

### Three Key Points to Stay on Point No Matter Your Reality

Here are three essential practices that will help you not only achieve your dreams but maintain them once they arrive:

### 1. Breathwork: Your Ability to Stay Calm Is Crucial

Your ability to maintain calm is absolutely crucial for sustaining success. This is one of the main reasons why people who find themselves in a new tax bracket tend to lose it all—**a lack of self-control leads to poverty.**

When you don't have the internal regulation to handle success, it slips through your fingers. Breathwork helps you:

- Stay grounded when circumstances change rapidly
- Make clear decisions rather than reactive ones
- Maintain emotional stability during high-pressure situations
- Process stress before it turns into destructive behavior

Practice simple breathwork daily: inhale for four counts, hold for four counts, exhale for four counts, hold for four counts. This simple practice can transform your nervous system and prepare you to hold whatever blessings come your way.

### 2. Keep Your Mouth Shut

Why wouldn't you want to share your newfound happiness? Because **sharing too quickly puts you in a vulnerable position**, especially when you're still getting used to your new reality.

When you broadcast your blessings prematurely, you open the door for:

- Naysayers who will question and doubt your success
- Jealousy and negative energy that can disrupt your peace
- External opinions that cloud your own judgment
- Pressure to prove yourself before you're stable

Who needs that? Not you. So keep it between God and you—period. Move in silence and let your results speak for themselves. There's power in discretion.

Once you're established and grounded in your new reality, you can share from a place of strength rather than vulnerability. But in the beginning? Protect your peace and your blessings with sacred silence.

### 3. Practice Mindfulness

Mindfulness helps you become comfortable with your mind and how it works. This practice allows you to:

- Pull away from what no longer serves you
- Stay sharp and focused on what truly matters
- Recognize patterns that could sabotage your success
- Make intentional choices rather than automatic reactions

When you take the time to get to know who **YOU** are, it separates you from others. Most people are being told what and how to think. But when you cultivate mindfulness, you develop the ability to think for yourself, to know yourself, and to trust yourself.

**Freedom is from within.**

The real work isn't just in achieving your dreams—it's in becoming the person who can sustain them. It's in developing the character, discipline, and inner strength to handle success without losing yourself in it.

Why? Because self-love allows for healthy decision-making, leaving women feeling empowered and able to see themselves in higher regard. Love is the act of choosing YOU first, despite what society thinks. **You're never too old to learn this.**

One would say that this is the perfect time for you to reflect while building your career. This puts you in a powerful position—self-reflection is key to any successful entrepreneur.

Mindfulness activities like breathwork and meditation will help reduce stress levels, giving you the tools to think clearly while making profound, life-changing decisions.
