I wanted to try my hand at something a little different and landed on making a self-drafted bodysuit (#brixtonbodysuit) and skirt (#ameliaskirt)! Both the tutorials are filmed and just need to edit the pattern a bit on the bodysuit before releasing it - so stay tuned! Help me decide which one to make first! #simplicity3513 or #simplicity3796 ?? They are both so similar but #S3513 is fitted with waist darts in the bodice but #s3796 is a gathered bodice (no fitting) with a back yoke. Both have insertion lace options. Thoughts?

What are some of the best sewing tips for beginners? Here are a few of mine, what are yours?
- If there are issues first check: the take-up lever (upper tension and thread issues) or the bobbin (lower tension and thread issues).
- Read the instructions before cutting out your pattern and even starting
- Spill pins on the carpet? Use a magnet to pick them up
- ONLY turn your handwheel TOWARDS you!
- Change your needle often (every 8 hours of sewing)
