If you’re new here, Akwaaba, Welcome, and if you’ve been around, thank you for being here.
I’ve had a few videos resonate recently, and with new faces finding this channel, I wanted to properly introduce myself.
I’m passionate about Africa, youth empowerment and documenting career, travel and becoming.
@adjoaainghana is a space where I’m finding my voice and allowing room for contradiction, nuance and growth.
@adjoaainghana was born after a transformative season in Ghana almost three years ago - and in many ways, it led me back to my first love: learning about the world and my place within it.
I look forward to exploring the world around us together and our unique experiences within it 🤍.
I'd love to know: *What brought you to this channel?*
There’s something about the little things that make a place feel like home. The familiarity you grow acquainted with when you’ve been in a place long enough. Even though I didn’t grow up in Ghana, my time away has made me acutely aware of what stands out to me when I’m here.
From the lively roadsides where there is always something to satisfy your hunger for a few cedis, to the overcrowded tro tros with mates beckoning customers.
To the endless billboards and posters pasted all around displaying faces in HD quality, promising revelations and breakthroughs for your unique circumstances.
*I’d be interested to know, what are some sites that stand out to you in the place that you live?*
As we close 2025, I’m ready for my my year of becoming in 2026 🌟.
I am so grateful for all the incredible people and organisations that were part of making 2025 special. I wanted to share some of the opportunities this year that gifted me with growth - professionally, academically and relationally.
I’ve always juggled multiple roles at a time and many times, this has led to being overwhelmed and in one particular case, burnt out. BUT a reason at the heart of this desire to do so many things at once is living a non-linear path. I’ve wished many times especially over the past 2 years to have ONE neat and tidy role, within a career that progresses at the rate I used to deem “right”, steady and upward.
But as I share in a recent video, my year hasn’t been a straight line. I’ve done public speaking, policy work, community work, global work, retail work, social media work. In all these quests, I’ve definitely learned so much about the world and kind of impact that resonates with me.
While I’m on a journey to become who I envision to be, I also have felt the joy of going along that journey with others, encouraging them too. I have become even more curious and invested in the wellbeing of others - especially young people. This includes finding roles and places to belong and economically thrive 🌱.
I hope my page can be a reflection of how you can bring together your layered and varied experiences + identities to create your most vibrant and fulfilling life. And I’m realising that can also mean simplifying and narrowing down on what is most important to you (ahhh still working on that!!)
December in Ghana and the diaspora are two themes I’ve wanted to write about but just didn’t grasp the angle. Then I attended Entertainment Week Ghana and had a burst of inspiration! Thank you Agyeman-Duah for inviting me along to the Entertainment Week launch to see your incredible work exhibited. Here’s to more young Ghanaian success stories.
Just for fun! 😂 I loved making this. If you know Ghana in December then you know it’s about stepping out to impress. From my fieldwork over the past few years, these are my findings.
I had intended to do so many things and buy so many things here, but I’m reminded of the joy in getting a few things or having a few experiences that serve as multi-purpose to conserve your energy and resources when things are overwhelming.
I love @NAYABYAFRICA. They have simple body care with natural and effective ingredients that have been lasting me a long time. I especially love the mosquito repellent, which doesn’t have this harsh effect like my other one.
As with life, sometimes, it is best when we have a few, effective ingredients - love, joy, peace and health. However, when any or all of those are threatened, life becomes a challenge. I’ve said this in a previous video about there being a lot of tragedy happening across the world, and for me, it is amplified during this time of the year when the tragedy is juxtaposed with celebration and merrymaking. Despite the heaviness I’ve felt and am feeling, and perhaps for you too, I think it becomes even more important to count our blessings and see the value in whatever brings love, joy, or peace into our lives.
For those also feeling not so merry or cheerful because of things outside of your control, and to everyone supporting those going through it, please take care, and if you can only focus on the basics right now, that’s more than enough 🤎.

Here are a few of my favourite songs at the moment in Ghana, and when I listen to them, depending on what emotions I'm leaning into. I'd love for you to comment your favourite songs at the moment 🤎.
