I was wondering why halime hatun was portrayed as such a sidelined character. Then i realized there may be a historical reason for it. Unlike many other early ottoman figures, osman gazis mother isnt definitively known. The earliest historical sources dont identify her by name and the association with halime hatun comes from later ottoman tradition. Bcz of this, theres very little reliable historical information abt her life, personality or role...

That may explain why the series couldnt develop her character as much as others, they didnt have enough confirmed history to work with. While halime hatun is widely accepted in popular culture from historical perspective,osman gazis mother's identity remains uncertain
