This storyteller is a singer-songwriter, composer, lyricist, and audio architect for many celebrated and award-winning projects.
Apart from making his music, he has also been an audio architect for multiple platforms like MTV Sound Trippin’ and Coke Studio Bharat.
In recent years, Tewari has also broken barriers in mainstream music, as a lyricist, music supervisor, and singer-composer for Bollywood films. His work in the Hip Hop musical Gully Boy, open the floodgates to the rising Hip Hop scene in India. He delivered chart-topping hits for the Amazon Original Gehraaiyaan and Netflix movies The Archies and Kho Gaye Hum Kahaan.
Tewari has showcased his intimate songwriting at SXSW Austin and a 6-city U.S. tour. Ankur aims to shape new sonic narratives and take the South Asia story to a global stage.

In Akela, I moved away from my usual acoustic style and delved into a more haunting, melancholic & ambient soundscape. The first song from the album started from the depths of the silence that enveloped me during the Pandemic. The voices in my head were singing a very different mood than before. The words, I found myself writing, were not in the same family as my earlier works. Akela pulled out a side of me, that I had carefully tucked far away. I was visiting memories from my life, I thought, I had forgotten. The songs from this album are a kaleidoscope of love, loss & dreams.
