Shortly after Easter, thousands of pet bunnies will be dumped and/or neglected all over the world. Shelters and rescues will be inundated with these surrenders and with phone calls of bunnies found on the street. After 8 years in the rescue space, I never cease being horrified at the severe cases of neglect that occur at this time of year.
How can you help?
1. Pay a visit to your local animal shelter. Bring some hay or toys.
2. Volunteer/foster/donate to your local rabbit rescue.
3. Send educational resources and information to anyone who just got a bunny.
4. Search Craigslist for bunnies being given away for free and try to assist the owner in rehoming properly and safely.
5. Promote proper rabbit care via social media.

It’s Lennon’s 9th birthday! 🎉
Lennon came into my life on January 15th, 2015 and at the time I was told she was 6-weeks-old. Therefore, she would have been born sometime THIS week.
Almost a decade ago. WOW. I often think of that first day I brought her home and how scared we both were. It was one of the few decisions I didnt think about. I was IMPULSIVE.
This angel baby is my life support. She keeps me going in the roughest of times. She constantly wipes my tears away. Let’s honor and celebrate her today/this week for changing the bunny world. ❤️❤️❤️
