In God’s timing, for His purpose 💖You might think I’m being too dramatic about a drivers license but it’s THAT DEEP for me. There was a reason why I started doing my drivers license 2 years ago. I was building the perfect life I thought I wanted. In a house far away from the city, that's why I needed a car. That life didn't glorify God, and God was gonna be completely out of the picture. And guess what, with that intention, I failed the theoretical exam 3 times. On this journey, God convicted me, broke my old beliefs and I no longer pursued that ungodly life. He put a new purpose in this. Instead of doing the license for my myself or something that didn’t glorify God, He called me to serve Him with it.
With this new purpose, I went to the practical exam. My church friends prayed over me a lot. And I prayed a lot that week as well. For His glory and kingdom. Around thirty minutes before the exam, I was praying to God again. God showed me images of His miracles, how He split the red sea, how He raised Lazarus from death, and how He said faith can move mountains. If He had massive miracles like these, why would He not be capable of letting me pass the exam. He really was almighty.

Then I sat in the car, and God was holding my hands on the steering wheel. The Holy Spirit was pointing out all the signs to me. I was so sure it wasn't me, because I've never driven that well before. And I got the license!! The examiner did not have anything to criticize, which again confirmed that it was all God.

Looking back at this long path, I realized it was God's ultimate protection why everything was taking so long. Had I pass the theory on first try and got the license quickly, I probably would have already moved and started that new life without God that I planned. As the license was basically one of the last things why I haven't moved yet.

With the desire, intention, plan and strength of my own flesh, I was failing at the theoretical exam multiple times. But once He changed my life and gave me new purpose, and through His power, I passed the practical exam on the very first try. The contrast was so clear.

And wow, I would have never experienced His presence and all these blessings, if He hadn’t pull me out from my past. I almost planned and settled for a life completely without God in it, and I almost missed out on a much better life He prepared for me.

The lyrics "shake up the ground of all my tradition. Break down the walls of all my religion. Your way is better" hit me everytime the song comes up. He really broke down everything in my old life and filled it up with His presence.I had a bunch of wonderful bible verses that fit my journey perfectly but if I could only choose one, it would be this:

“The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.”

God’s plan is always better.
