1. ‘Sktchy Art School’ is now called ‘Sktchy’ - This is a simple and significant change. It reflects our mission to help you improve your artistic skills and build healthy creative habits in a global arts community.
To be crystal clear, we will continue to produce inspiring art classes. That said, we have always thought of our platform as more than a school. It’s a place for you to go through the sometimes messy, always rewarding process of artistic growth, to pursue new creative heights even - or perhaps especially - at the risk of failure, to celebrate artistic milestones and to do it all in a supportive community of fellow artists from around the world.
In practice, this simple name change clears the way for us to realize that potential and serve you in a variety of inspiring ways like classes, challenges, events, communal activities and more. We’re so excited for this new phase of the journey, and grateful as ever for your support and companionship along the way.
2. We have a new Sktchy Icon - With our name changing, this also feels like the right time to update our profile picture (aka icon), which we’ve always done every few months. Given Jennifer Linderman’s exuberant use of color, unbridled enthusiasm for the Sktchy community and inspiring commitment to artistic growth, we’re thrilled to feature her self-portrait in our icon.
Look out for the updated name and icon to roll out across the Sktchy ecosystem over the next few days!
