My name is Wambui Bahati. I am American - born in North Carolina in the USA.
As I was recovering and reinventing myself from a time in my life filled with many challenges, I felt reborn and decided to take on a new name. I was instructed that Wambui means SINGER OF SONGS in Swahili, and Bahati means MY FORTUNE IS GOOD. Wambui Bahati is my legal name.
I currently live in New York City. At this time, except for my grandchildren, I love crafting - making things with my hands - more than anything. I hope that we keep the arts of sewing, knitting, quilting, and papercrafts alive and well for future generations.

Hello, lovely friends! 💛
I wanted to pop in quickly to say that I’ll be postponing today’s live and instead putting all my focus into finishing Part 1 of the baby blanket tutorial.
I was almost done—but when I sat down to edit, I realized the lighting was just too bright and washed out the details. And you know me—I want you to really be able to see and learn clearly, so I’m re-recording that section today and aiming to have it up by tonight.
