Mom 🕊....
ur birthday comes with the first day of the year,
n i never imagined starting a year without u....
It feels strange to say “happy new year” when my heart still measures time by how long its been since u left...
This year was the hardest year of my life.
From its very beginning, it felt heavy, exhausting, n unfair.
Losing u changed everything.
There r no words big enough for that kind of loss.
Its been nine months already since u’ve been gone, and some days it still feels unreal.
Other days, the reality is very clear ....u’re not here, n Ive had to learn how to live around that emptiness... ddnt get there yet but baby steps.
I want u to know that Im doing okay, Alhamdulillah.
I live. I laugh. I keep going.
Not cuz the pain disappeared....but cuz God gave me the strength to carry it.
I miss u in quiet ways now....In moments I wish I could share with u.....In milestones that feel incomplete without ur presence.
This new year begins without celebrating ur birthday....
but it begins with prayers for u, with love that never faded n with hope that better days are ahead, inshallah.
I pray that u are at peace, surrounded by mercy n light.
I pray that Allah rewards u for everything u were n everything u gave.
And I pray that one day, we will meet again where there is no pain n no goodbye.
