Spiderbait are considered Australia's rock royalty with over half a million albums sold, 5 Top 20 albums, 19 ARIA Nominations and 2 ARIA awards!
They were the first band to make it to the #1 spot on Triple J hottest 100 for their pulsating guitar anthem 'Buy Me A Pony' and their cover of 'Black Betty' scored them a number 1 single on the ARIA chart and a Top 20 single in the US.
After an 8 years recording hiatus they are back with a new self-titled album produced by François Tetaz. The album remains true to their rock heritage mixed with sweet sounds, double kick and gritty ball-busting riffs.

Recording Grand Slam, we went into the studio just wanting to play with every trick we could. It was a tough record to make but so proud we survived and still speak to each other. It’s bonkers to listen to it now, no wonder some people say it’s their absolute fave and some are still baffled. 😂

This band snap was taken in Tassie. one of our DIY photo shoots, where we used to put the camera timer on and see what happened. All our official band photos back then were taken by self-timer. We were on tour with Tumbleweed in Hobart and staying at the Wrest point casino. Classy! I remember there was snow on top of Mt Wellington and you could see it from the rooms. It felt very exotic. No other capital city in Australia with a beautiful snowy view like that! We’re really looking forward to being back in Hobart this weekend and shake off these past couple of years.
