I have no words to describe how disappointed I am after learning that Google's DeepMind division has announced a $75 million investment in A24 to jointly develop AI-powered cinematic production tools. The studio that produced masterpieces such as Hereditary, Midsommar, and even Backrooms is now working on tools that undermine the very purpose of filmmaking. I hope this is some kind of sick joke!
There's a high probability that you've watched Instagram Reels before. I assume most of us have. One day, I was scrolling through Reels and saw a comment that included racial slurs. It wasn't any form of joke, it was just extremely impolite. The worst thing was that it had thousands of likes. I reported it for hate speech and continued scrolling. This week, I got a notification saying that Instagram had reviewed the content I reported and hadn't found anything that violated its Community Guidelines. What kind of world do we live in where hate speech is socially accepted and big corporations defend it?
The paradox of this movie is that we see so much of the Backrooms, yet it still feels like nothing compared to the entirety of it.
I was so glad to hear "B1 - All that follows is true" by The Caretaker. A funny coincidence is that my cover of it comes out this week!
I also love how this movie disrupts the concept of a main character by suddenly shifting the focus to the therapist's perspective.
I'm looking forward to Kane's future work because he's the most promising young director out there. A true genius, if you ask me. I dream of him using one of my covers in a future movie, even though I'm not sure they're musically good enough for A24.
"Debate or agree with me" part 1: My thesis: AI should not be used to create art under any circumstances. Songs created by or with AI should not be eligible to earn money on any platform. The use of generative AI should be limited due to the environmental crisis.
I'd like to let you guys know that every single cover from Everywhere at the End of Time (Stage 1) has been recorded, edited and is waiting for its premiere. I feel so happy to share it.

What the hell is wrong with you, A24?

F*** Instagram... Let me explain:

I've just seen The Backrooms movie, and I love the way they did it... [MAJOR SPOILERS]
They didn't just portray it from an ordinary person's perspective; they also made that universe even more mysterious and unclear than it already was.
The horror of this movie wasn't about jump scares or monsters—it was about 'that weird feeling'. Kane didn't go with the conventional, cliché Backrooms monsters we've come to expect. Instead, he gave us Captain Clark, who was eerily terrifying while also seeming brainless and almost funny.
The paradox of this movie is that we see so much of the Backrooms, yet it still feels like nothing compared to the entirety of it.
