Paula co-founded Yoginimelbourne with one of her dearest friends Mischa to share her love of yoga, mindfulness and wellbeing in a way that is accessible, down to earth and meet people where they are at.
Paula is a has been teaching yoga for over 11 years and has a background in movement and dance and has been studying and practicing yoga for 20 years. Paula has been influenced by many different yoga and movement traditions and this comes through in the variety of yoga classes offered here on the channel from dynamic vinyasa, therapeutic hatha, yin to mindfulness and meditations. Paula is also a qualified social worker currently working as a counsellor/therapist specialising in working with trauma. Paula has completed her level 1 qualification in Sensorimotor psychotherapy (talk based somatic psychotherapy) and has a deep interest in how these various frameworks and understandings can support people to connect to the body as a resource, place of wisdom, joy and deep healing.

Signature vinyasa flow: a set sequence for the term that is a progressive vinyasa flow-based practice that will include asana, pranayama and mindfulness techniques. Paula is influenced by a variety of yoga and movement lineages which are interwoven into her classes to create a unique, embodied practice that meets people where they are at, developing skills and tools for self-inquiry, self-compassion, and self-regulation and understanding the application of yoga on and off the mat.
Somatic yoga flow: A trauma-informed therapeutic embodied form of movement that is gentle, accessible and inclusive. Practice comprises of seated, lying and occasional standing practices that improves body-brain communication as well as cultivating curiosity and increased awareness of habitual patterns of moving and being in the world. Somatic yoga can facilitate improved capacity within areas of sports and movement, as well as alleviate symptoms of chronic pain, illness, fatigue.
Paula is a trained trauma therapist and teaches from a trauma-informed frameworks, including use of invitational and inclusive language.
