Hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving. I am going to delay tonight's live stream for a day due to a scratchy throat

Sorry about the delay with new videos - my inspiration level has been pretty low these past few weeks. I've come to the conclusion that feeling the need to film all my hobbies takes some of the fun out of them. It certainly slows down progress by a lot.

I'm still working on the RC Transmitter in fits and spurts and will do a post build short once it is done - maybe a time lapse of final assembly as well.

I just have to find the sweet spot between building things for the joy of building and building for content.

Whoo Hoo! we've reached 1000 subs!

Made it into the top 9% of YT channels - going to do a live stream soon to celebrate

Thank you to all the long term subs that have stuck with me through the years and a special shout out to my long term patreon supports Ian & Chris, without you I wouldn't have lasted this long.

Still working on the EUP5108 Display Board and setting up a new setup so I can go live from the lab

Well it finally happened and of course I have no idea why - if one of you could ping x.com support asking about me that would be helpful (maybe)

EUP That's Me!

Several months ago when I first ported this code to Linux the performance was ~3Mhz and occasionally the ANSI codes that change the position the ship would bleed onto the screen screwing up the display

I shelved the project out of frustration and went on to work on the Arduino break out box and micro rocket videos

Recent days of rain delayed the rocket project so I was able to pick this up where I left off and with a fresh pair of eyes I fixed those issues in a couple of debug sessions

One of the greatest things about hobby coding projects is they don't degrade while shelved unlike just about every other hobby where paints/glues dry out or parts get lost/broken

You can pick up right were it was left off and continue to perfect the program

One of the reason I find the "which is the best language to learn" questions kinda silly is that once you understand how to program you can quickly adapt from one to the other

Arduino: C

Windows/Linux Data Collection app: Python

Now that grok can fill in the gaps of the obscurely named library/api needed to accomplish one thing or another

The fixed indent of python I like and adopted it for my custom EUP5108 Microprocessor's assembler format

I don't like the lack of a compiler or syntax checker over the py source before running part way through the program

The one constant across all scales of rocketry, model or full scale, is the rain delay
