This is the first Sunday of April.

And whatever April holds for you —
whatever the month ahead contains
that you know about and are preparing for
and whatever it contains that you cannot yet see —

He is already in all of it. 🙏

Already in the first Sunday.
Already in the last Thursday.
Already in every ordinary Tuesday
and every impossible Wednesday
that April is going to ask of you.

"For I know the plans I have for you
declares the Lord —
plans to prosper you and not to harm you,
plans to give you a future and a hope."
— Jeremiah 29:11

Plans.

Not reactions.
Not adjustments to whatever happens.
Plans.

Made before January.
Before last year.
Before you were born into this specific season
that God knew would be yours to walk through.

He planned April for you.
All of it.
With everything in it.

And His plans are good. 🌅✨

Good Saturday morning. ☕🌿

Permission to do nothing today. 🤍

Not productive nothing.
Not the kind of nothing where you
catch up on everything you could not
do during the week.
Not the nothing that secretly
contains twelve tasks.

Actual nothing.

The kind He modelled on the seventh day.
The kind He built into creation
before we had calendars and productivity
apps and the constant awareness of
everything that still needs to be done.

Actual rest.
Actual stillness.
Actual Saturday. 🌿

"And on the seventh day God ended His work —
and He rested on the seventh day
from all His work which He had made.
And God blessed the seventh day
and sanctified it."
— Genesis 2:2–3

He blessed the rest day.

Not just permitted it.
Not just tolerated it as a necessary
break before Monday comes.

Blessed it.
Sanctified it.
Set it apart as holy.

Your rest is holy today.

The nap is holy.
The slow coffee is holy.
The unhurried Bible reading is holy.
The gospel jazz playing in the background
while you do absolutely nothing useful is holy.

He sanctified this day for exactly this.

Rest well today. 🙏

You made it to Friday. 🌅✨

Not by accident.
Not by your own strength alone.
Not because this week was easy
or because you finally figured out
how to manage everything perfectly.

You made it to Friday because He carried
the parts of this week that were too heavy
for one person to carry alone.

And that is worth celebrating. 🙏

"The Lord your God is with you —
the Mighty Warrior who saves.
He will take great delight in you —
in His love He will no longer rebuke you
but will rejoice over you with singing."
— Zephaniah 3:17

He rejoices over you.

With singing.

Not with a nod of acknowledgement.
Not with a quiet note of your progress.

With singing.

The God of the universe looks at you —
at the week you just walked through,
at the weight you carried,
at the moments you almost did not make it
and chose to keep going anyway —

And He sings over you. 🌅✨

That is what Friday morning sounds like
in the kingdom.

His song over the ones who made it
through another week. 🎵

It is the weekend. ☕

Rest.
Actually rest.

Good Thursday morning. ☕🕯️

One more day.

You know that feeling.
The Thursday morning calculation —
everything you have given this week
measured against what one more day
is going to ask for.

And for some of you the maths
is not working in your favour right now.
The account is running low.
And Friday is close enough to see
but far enough to feel impossible.

Let me tell you what Thursday
looks like from the other side. 🙏

"Weeping may endure for a night —
but joy cometh in the morning."
— Psalm 30:5

Joy is already in motion.

Not after Friday.
Not when the weekend finally arrives.
Not when the thing you are waiting for
finally comes through.

Joy cometh.

Present tense moving toward you.
Already travelling.
Already with your name on it.
Coming through Thursday to meet you
on the other side of this one last day.

The night has been long for some of you.
Longer than a week.
Some of you have been in a long night
for months.
Carrying something in the dark
that has not yet broken into morning.

Thursday is the last watch. 🕯️

The morning is on its way.
It was always on its way.
He set it in motion before you
even knew you needed it.

Happy 1st of April. ☕🌅

A new month.

Can we just sit in that for a moment?

Last month is complete.
Everything it held — the hard weeks,
the unanswered prayers, the things that
did not go the way you planned,
the burdens you carried from Monday to Friday
week after week —

Last month is done.

And He made a new one.

Not a reset where you start over from scratch.
Not an erasure of everything that happened.

A new one.
Where His mercies are new.
Where His compassions have not failed.
Where what He started in you last month
continues with fresh momentum
into this one.

"Forget the former things —
do not dwell on the past.
See I am doing a new thing.
Now it springs up — do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the wilderness
and streams in the wasteland."
— Isaiah 43:18–19

Do you not perceive it?

The new thing is already happening.
It began before you turned the calendar.
It is already in motion in the places
you cannot yet see.

He is making the way.
Right now.
In the wilderness parts of your life
that still look like wilderness
from where you are standing.

Streams are already coming. 🌅🙏

April belongs to Him.
And He is already in every day of it. ✨

A new week.

The same God who carried you through
last week is the same God who has
already gone ahead into this one.

Let that land for a moment. 🙏

He did not rest over the weekend
while you were recovering.
He was already in this Monday
before you opened your eyes.

Already in the meeting you are dreading.
Already in the conversation
that needs to happen this week.
Already in the inbox you have not opened.
Already in the appointment on Wednesday.
Already in the answer you have been waiting for.

Already there.

"The Lord himself goes before you
and will be with you —
He will never leave you nor forsake you.
Do not be afraid.
Do not be discouraged."
— Deuteronomy 31:8

He goes BEFORE you.

Not beside you into the unknown.
Before you into it.

Which means nothing you walk into
this week is unknown to Him.
Not one meeting.
Not one conversation.
Not one number on one screen.
Not one piece of news.

He has already been there.
He is already there now.
He will be there when you arrive. 🌅✨

or the calls or the to-do list
that does not rest even on Sundays —

Take one breath.

And receive this.

He made this Sunday specifically for you.

Not for the week.
Not for everyone waking up today
in some general collective sense.

For you.

He knew what this week cost you.
He knew what you carried from Monday to Saturday.
He knew what you laid down and what you kept
holding even though you tried to lay it down.

And He made this Sunday anyway.
With all of that. For all of you.
The tired version and the grateful version
and the version that still does not have
the answer to the thing you have been praying about.

He made this Sunday for every version of you
that woke up this morning. 🌅

"This is the day which the Lord hath made —
we will rejoice and be glad in it."
— Psalm 118:24

We will rejoice.

Not we might if we feel like it.
Not we will once we have more answers.
Not we will when things are better.

We will.

This Sunday. As it is.
With everything on it and in it
and still unresolved about it.

We will rejoice and be glad in it.
Because He made it.
And that alone is enough. ✨

And before you fill it with everything
that did not get done during the week —

Can I give you permission to rest? 🤍

Not the rest that is just waiting
for the next thing to need you.

Actual rest.

The kind where you make your coffee slowly.
The kind where you open your Bible
without a timer running in your head.
The kind where you put on gospel jazz
and sit in the quiet and let the week
drain off your shoulders
before you pick up anything new.

"He maketh me to lie down in green pastures —
He leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul."
— Psalm 23:2–3

He restoreth.

Not your productivity.
Not your output.
Not your ability to be useful to everyone.

Your soul.

The thing underneath all the doing.
The thing that gets depleted
when you give everything every week
and forget to be restored.

He wants to restore it today.
Not because you have earned a day off.
Not because you finally did enough
to deserve to rest.

Because He built restoration
into the rhythm of the week
and He meant it for you
and today is the day. 🌅

Good Friday morning. ☕🙏

It is payday for some of you today.

And for some of you it is the day
you find out if this pay
covers everything it needs to cover.

You have already done the maths in your head.
More than once.
Probably at 2am this week when you
should have been sleeping.

You know the number.
You know what comes in.
You know what needs to go out.
And you know the gap.

He knows it too. And He is not afraid of it. 🙏

"My God shall supply all your need —
according to His riches in glory
by Christ Jesus."
— Philippians 4:19

All your need.

Not some of your budget.
Not the manageable portion.
Not the needs you remembered to pray about.

All of it.

Before you sat down with those numbers —
He had already calculated the provision.

His arithmetic is different from yours.

Your maths says not enough.
His maths says already supplied.

Take your hands off the numbers
just for this moment.
Put them in His.

He has never failed yet.
Not once.
Not ever.
Not at this table or any table before it.

He will not start this Friday. ☕🙏✨

You have been giving all week.

To your family.
To your work.
To the people who need you
to show up even when you are running empty.
To the problems that did not wait
until you had more capacity.
To the situations that chose this week
specifically to need your attention.

You have been giving since Monday morning
and it is Thursday and you are still here.

Still showing up.
Still carrying.
Still being the person everyone counts on.

But who is counting on God for you? 🤍

"He giveth power to the faint —
and to them that have no might
He increaseth strength.
Even the youths shall faint and be weary —
but they that wait upon the Lord
shall renew their strength.
They shall mount up with wings as eagles."
— Isaiah 40:29–31

Mount up.

Not crawl to Friday.
Not white-knuckle through one more day.

Mount up.

He has been saving this for you.
The specific strength for the specific
Thursday that this one is.
He has been holding it and waiting
for you to stop trying to generate it
on your own and ask Him for it instead.

Ask Him right now.
Before the day starts.
Before the first notification.
Before the first thing that needs you
this morning.

Ask for the Thursday strength.
He already has it ready. 🌅🙏
