It is kind of long post but want to share my thoughts -
Did you guys see #GandivadhariArjuna ? I have not heard any buzz about this movie like Gangubai or Pathan or some other useless hit movie😡
This comes very close to my heart hence I am giving review on this movie after long time.
It dealt with pollution, environment and plastic(I am not sure about the facts or the numbers listed in the movie) but I am a avid follower of environment and strongly believes these will effect our future generations health, wealth(not monetary) and their nourishment. Hence I like to practice it as preach it. I will give you an example : we have 4 various Telugu organizations in RTP area. Atleast we have 2-3k Telugu people (I am pretty sure we have multiple Tamil, Kannada, Hindi & Malayalam but don’t know how many because I don’t keep track on those). On top of it we have India Fest, Humsub, international festival etc events too. Then again we have how many temples and how much plastic / foam they use around ? Some home events?
Coming to the point - Each Telugu organization will have 3-4 events. We assume that we will have atleast 800-1000 people at each big event. So from Telugu states (now we have 2 states) we have atleast 10-12 events per year and 10-12 k people will participate in them right? And each person will use a plate, a cup, spoon and fork. How many water bottles we use per person? I will leave it to your calculations as I believe all of u are educated and intelligent.
You just observe in your house on how much plastic/foam you use in a month? Then multiply that for 12 months and see how much trash you are adding to the environment?
Do you think Mother Nature can accept our trash ? A big NOOO…hence we see all these storms, hurricanes, fires, floods ? Think how frequently u are hearing them now than when u were young ?
THINK THINK and decide what you want to give your kids …..
But spend that money and watch the money as it is worth watching for your money… spend it wisely.
