Lost a real one today. Michael Watts wasn't just a Houston icon to me—he was a big bro and a mentor who actually lived what he preached. I listened to him my whole life, but when we finally became friends, it wasn't just a "fan" thing. It was a genuine brotherhood.
I want people to know how real he was—when I texted, he hit me back. When I called, he picked up. We’d sit on the phone for hours just uplifting each other. We talked about everything—music, health, and life. He was actually the one who pushed me and inspired me to become a DJ. Even as a celebrity, he never acted too big to give his time, listen to ideas, or motivate to keep growing. Whether he was hitting me up on FaceTime while bike riding or just checking in to talk positive, the energy was always mutual. I’m so grateful I got to see him just a few months ago.
My deepest condolences and prayers go out to his wife, his family, and the whole Swishahouse camp. Thank you for the opportunities and for literally calling the DJ out of me. Rest easy, Big Bro. Your legacy is forever, but the friendship meant the most. 🤘🏾🕊️🎙️
