Has anyone else been noticing how ironic many YouTube ad placements are these days? I got an ad for a protein bar brand on @drewisgooden's most recent video poking fun at protein health products. Or I've seen ads for online gambling on @Zac-Rios's videos about people's financial issues.
It seems YouTube's ad placement algorithm can't tell the difference between audiences who might be interest as buyers and those who are interested as critics.
For the first time in a long time I rewatched my "a film about growing up", and it's incredible to see how differently this piece speaks to me now that I'm actually entering into that new rhythm of life. That's the beautiful thing about creating art. You develop a unique relationship with each piece you create, and the meaning/lessons contained speak to you in new ways as the work (and the you) get older. That's something you just don't get when you're simply out there to produce "content"
Have you ever considered quitting whatever music listening service you have? I feel like these days I reduce music to something to act as background noise instead of appreciating the artwork the artist intended it to be. Considering seeing how it would affect my music listening habits to leave Spotify behind for a month or so.
