Holy cow! The Cloverdale Transit Authority YouTube channel finally hit the 1500 subscriber mark this morning! That seems just crazy to me? Thank you to everyone who has been watching, liking, and commenting. It's a great community and I have been inspired by so many of you. I feel like I should do something special on the channel this weekend but I am not sure what that could be. Anybody have any ideas?

As just a follow up to my video posted last night about the MTH Aerotrain, several viewers suggested that I test the lighting in just the shell to see if I could get the lights to come on. I used a couple of test wires from the transformer and touched them to the contact points inside the shell. Low and behold, when I did, no lights but the "short" indicator on the transformer started flashing. I then noticed something that another viewer commented on. The two-sided metal contact running the length of the car is touching at the place where the springs come up from the track power. The the other points along the rest of the car are separated. This could be the reason for the short and the destruction of the car. It is a good thing I had my 84 year old dad came over to run this at my house where I was able to respond to the situation. It could have been bad.
