August 10, 2025 - Change for Them

I was willing to modify myself...compromise myself....not be myself. I believed that if someone fought for me that meant that I was worthy. But, there was no fight. I saw them walk away. I wanted the best for them. What I didn't want was them to be with me based on what I gave or what was assumed I could give. And, although I continuously poured my energy into them and help them see worth, I was left standing alone.

I was willing to fight to be with you...to love me with an unconditional love...not look at me or look at my past and believe that I was unworthy. I believed that everything good would return to me ten fold, but there I was standing in the rain even as the sun shined. So, I taught myself to be independent and not ask for help unless I was absolutely desperate. In reflection, I was a child caring and being responsible for others, serving in capacity depleted, pouring into others not feeling poured into.

That was the space I was waiting for someone to fill, but I stopped waiting. I became numb, mean, cold and unapproachable. Honestly, I was protecting myself. That isn't me. I had to learn to put me first and love me before I could love others. Rest when I needed to rest. Say no when I could not or simply did not want to show up, be there, pour into, serve or even care. And I did and do. I finally realized I don’t need anyone to tell me that I am worthy. I don’t need anybody to show me that I’m valuable. I need to believe it myself.

Because if no one else fights for me, I will fight for myself.

I want to create my own website to host my videos so I can talk more candidly without worrying about YT violations as well as house my writing - books and blog all in one place. There would be a membership for the more candid videos. How much would you be willing to pay for the more private videos? Let me know if hosting the membership on YouTube is a preference.

Don't let circumstances that you can't. It is a distraction or a derailment. Sometimes you have to pivot. If it was given to you ...an idea, an invention, a craft, a book ... do it. Why? Because you can. Everything you need starts from within. Oh, and, you can!
