Forgiven Much Loving Much

We can be tempted to think sacrificing for God will can take the place of simple obedience to the gospel. We can “fear” people instead rightfully fearing the Lord.

God commands that His gospel be preached and believed. To obey God is to believe God, take Him at His word. He sent His only begotten Son into the world to die as a ransom for many. He was buried and rose again on the third day. Jesus now sits at the right hand of God the Father interceding for us. ✝️🙏
If you will believe and place your faith in Jesus Christ for salvation, you will be saved. It’s not our sacrifice nor good works that will save us. It is obedience to the gospel and that obedience comes by FAITH in BELIEVING Jesus is the Way, the TRUTH and the Life. No man can come to God apart from the Son… no other gods are before Him. Our faith is EXCLUSIVE. God will not accept any sacrifice other than the one His Son made on the cross at Calvary.

Forgiven Much Loving Much

While I share so much on this channel about the great salvation by grace through faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, it is important to remember that good works are part of the Christian life. Our salvation comes through the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ alone. However, when we read the word of God, faithfully, we can see that there is purpose in good works. There are many purposes actually, and one of them is here in verse 19 of first Timothy 6, chapter 5.

I was reminded about continuing in good works by a faithful sister in the Lord. If you have placed your trust in Jesus Christ to save your soul, ask him today what would he have you to do to lay up in store a good foundation against the time to come.

Today is a special day of Thanksgiving! 🙌
Let us give thanks 🙌unto the Lord and remember Hebrews 13:5 5 “Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.”

I’m thankful🙌 for all the Lord has provided and the promise made that He will never leave me!! He promises this to all who put their faith in Jesus , our Messiah! ✝️

This “Thanksgiving “ week, I am so thankful for all the great things the Lord has done for me! I’m thankful for His compassion towards me!

In my reading this morning, I can see the Lord gave this man whom he had freed very simple instructions ; Go and Tell!

It’s the most basic command the Lord gives to all who were once lost and now found! ✝️

Forgiven Much Loving Much

The adversary knew Hannah’s thorn in the flesh, as it were. In our own lives, the enemy will often prey upon that one thing we suffer with the most. In Hannah’s case, it was her inability to get pregnant. Scripture says it was the Lord who shut up her womb, so we know God allows these ailments to touch our lives. Hannah did the right thing though, by bringing her prayer directly to the Lord. While praying in the temple, she was thought to be drunk because her lips moved without sound as she wept bitterly from within. We cannot have victory through our own strength. We must bring our petitions to the Lord. Remember what our Lord Jesus Christ taught in Luke 18.

“And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;

2 Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man:

3 And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary.

4 And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man;

5 Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.

6 And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith.

7 And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?

8 I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?”
