Abide In Me ( A.I.M ) Radio

Teaching people to know God by abiding in his Word.

How else can we know Jesus if we don't learn about Him in the Bible? Jesus said;
"If you abide in My words you are truly My disciples and you will know the truth and the truth will set you free." John 8:31-32

"Abide in Me" was the message Jesus gave to His disciples before He left them. He promised that if we abide in Him and His word, then He will abide in us. (John 15)

Having faith in Jesus requires us to know Him, otherwise our faith will be in vain. Today, false teachings about Jesus abound. There is no salvation or forgiveness in a false Christ.

"And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent." John 17:3

This channel is for people who want to learn more about who Jesus really is and how you can have a relationship with Him.

All Bible references are listed in the description box of each video to give you a clear and deep understanding of the Scriptures.

Abide In Me ( A.I.M ) Radio

Here's my article to accompany the recent video "Work Out Your own Salvation?"
You can read it on my website, via the link below:

"The interplay between God's will and our will is not easy to understand. When something is not easy to understand we can become fearful because of the lack of certainty. When we are fearful we lose our ability to think clearly and our emotions override our ability to reason. We can the become dogged about our beliefs, not because we are certain of them but because we are uncertain and any attempt by others to present an alternative view results in us digging our heals in further.

This describes what happens during debates about contentious topics within the Christian teachings and it also describes what is happening en masse within our culture.

I'll begin by saying, it's okay if we get things wrong. It's okay if we don't understand all of God's ways. There are some things that will remain a mystery to us and one of those things is how God's will and our will combine, in love, to ensure that we will be with Him for eternity...

Abide In Me ( A.I.M ) Radio

Sometimes when we stall and everything comes to a halt we begin to blame ourselves. Why can’t I move on?; why can’t I stay focused?; why can’t I just get on with doing what the Lord has called me to do?

Many people throughout the Biblical narrative are called to do something for God and they are stopped in their tracks. When Zerubabbel was called to return from exile to rebuild the Temple in Jerusalem, he faced opposition, even though King Cyrus had approved it.

He had many people fighting against his plans, but God reassured him, through the prophet Zechariah, that he would succeed.

Today, if you feel disillusioned remember the words of the Lord through the prophet Zechariah to Zerubabbel, whose calling was being thwarted by mighty forces.

“This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the Lord Almighty.

“What are you, mighty mountain? Before Zerubbabel you will become level ground. Then he will bring out the capstone to shouts of ‘God bless it! God bless it!’”

Then the word of the Lord came to me again: “The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this temple; his hands will also complete it. Then you will know that the Lord Almighty has sent me to you.

Who dares despise the day of small things, since the seven eyes of the Lord that range throughout the earth will rejoice when they see the chosen capstone in the hand of Zerubbabel?”
Zechariah 4:6-10

When it looks like mountains are in your way, don’t fret because you will soon overcome them. Even though your achievements seem small, don’t despise them because they will soon grow into something that will cause you and others to rejoice. If you’ve laid the foundation you will also complete the project. It is by God’s Spirit that you will succeed.

“Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labour in vain.”
Psalm 127:1

This is a psalm of King Solomon, the son of King David. Solomon was commissioned by the Lord to build His first Temple and you can tell by this psalm that he knew it was only by God’s Spirit that the Temple would be built.

When we are feeling weak or disillusioned it is our job to seek the Lord first rather than taking the burden on ourselves. This takes humility and courage because often other people won’t understand this way of working and you may face opposition.

Read the books of Ezra and Nehemiah if you want to understand the whole story of the second Temple being built.

In the book of Nehemiah we read that the workers had to build with one hand and defend themselves from opposition with the other.

“Those who carried materials did their work with one hand and held a weapon in the other, and each of the builders wore his sword at his side as he worked.”
Nehemiah 4:17-18

Even though it was difficult, they knew that God was with them and we need to remember that too. Our faith and surrender to His ways will carry us through.

“Our God will fight for us.”
Nehemiah 4:20

I took this photo today. The beauty of the rainbow reflected in the water stopped me in my tracks. It reminded me of God’s promise to Noah. No matter how dark things seem, remember God is faithful.
