Whats up everyone! Hope yall have been doing well. For 2021 I've decided to increase my beat output, so expect more frequent uploads soon.
Also I've decided to start a new YouTube channel where I'll be making videos for producers; specifically combining technology and music production, and some tutorials as well (I want to keep my content as original as possible though!). I just uploaded my first video here which walks you through how I organize my project files and beats. If there's any type of content that you want to see, please comment here or on the video. Thank you. 🙏
In regards to the 24/7 Trap House Radio: As some of you may be aware, I put an announcement on the radio that I was planning on ending it on July 17th. As I put that announcement up, I also canceled the reoccurring billing for it on PayPal without reading the Terms of Service for the server company I used...which says that once the billing is canceled, the server gets taken down instantly. I didn't even get a chance to recover any data before everything got deleted (although I should have all or most of it anyway since everything was copied from my actual computers). So tl:dr: The radio was planned to be shut down in a week from now but I made the mistake of not reading the Terms of Service and unfortunately it's now deleted for good. I also just realized that the radio was not archived in any sense because YouTube only saves live streams under 12 hours. The best I can do at this point is make a YouTube playlist of the beats from the radio, please let me know if you'd be interested in this idea by liking or commenting on this post. If anyone has any suggestions as to how I can host the beats in some way, I have all of the MP3 files and my own domain I can use. Finally, I just want to say I appreciate everyone who listened to the radio and all of the producers who submitted beats or let me use theirs. It was challenging to start this radio and for months I got almost zero views. I was really happy to see it grow but at this time it's a project that was holding me back and I don't have the motivation to continue working on it. Would I re-launch it or make another one in the future? I'm open to that idea, but for now I'm working on a new direction for my YouTube channel, so stay tuned for that.
First of all, I've been going through a bit of producer's block. Shouldn't last this long because I don't really get it in general, but there's been a lot of external stuff going on for me that's clouding my creativity and music judgement (if that makes sense). So unfortunately I can't promise that I'll drop anything new this week. I can finish beats very fast and I'll still work on some every day so there is still a chance I'll release something, just not on my normal days.
Secondly, I appreciate your feedback from my last post. I wish I had more votes in order to really make a decision, but I tried to analyze my recent videos and have a theory that people tend to click on the videos when they can tell what the object on the cartridge label is from a distance. So you might see somewhat of a combination of the two styles. I can't really see me going back to the artist thumbnails because it can hard to find transparent photos sometimes (which is why other producers started doing illustrations, I assume).
Btw, despite me possibly not posting any new beats this week, I will be posting daily to Instagram. I post beat making videos, FL studio tutorials, artist/producer inspiration, and more. All of my content is original. If you want to follow me, my page is at www.instagram.com/nomassbeats/
Thanks for reading this and hope you have an amazing day. 👍
Quick question for yall: which thumbnail style do you like more? (Check my video thumbnails to see what I'm talking about if you're unsure what I mean)
Whats up everyone, Unfortunately, I won't be able to upload a beat tomorrow. 😔 I'm working on something really cool for you guys but it's been dragging on for over a month now and I've been working 12+ hours the last few days to finish it because of how much work it involves. I'll try my best to make it up to you soon. Btw, stay safe out there yall.
Hey everyone, not sure if anyone looks forward to the 3 beats I've been dropping almost every week, but I'd like to make an announcement about that. Until further notice, I'll be posting 2 beats every week instead of 3, usually on Tuesday and Saturday. I've just been stretching myself a bit thin due to working on some time-consuming projects. At some point when my workload is decreased, I'll make another announcement and go back to uploading 3 beats a week. Thank you for your support!
Sorry for the late notice but the radio stream went down... 😥😥 I think it crashed for running for so long. I'm working with customer support to get it back up. In the mean time, check out this archived version: Edit: Apparently the archived version doesn't work either. 😰 I'll try to get the live one back up ASAP. Thanks for your patience.
