After a long long break (and several major personal milestones later! 👨🎓), I'm now officially back to where it all started: Quantum Ruins!
I've picked up development right from the Alpha 2.0 (which is playable on my itch.io if you're interested!), cleaned up the code and reworked the weird teleport mechanic into a better, more controllable "wave dash"! You can control where the character is "teleported" and can chain the mechanic to basically warp through a level, it's pretty fun to use!
I've also implemented a new state switch system which I'll properly introduce in the next devlog 👊 🙏
SWIPE FOR MINI RIC! Took some time yesterday to do some pixel art practice :) I've been so busy doing other work over the past months (mostly PhD related) and I haven't practiced that much. I thought I'd turn my favorite baby pic (from 1996) into pixel art. The pixel art version turned out super chubby lol Definitely needs some work!
TRIANGLE STRATEGY IS HERE! Finally got the Limited Edition, it feels a bit like Christmas today 😁 I'm very happy I've been slowly building a little collection! Definitely gonna play it all weekend, can't wait!
The Premium Box of #ateliersophie2 got delivered TWO DAYS EARLIER! Super excited about the game after loving Atelier Ryza 1 & 2 so much! I'll be doing an unboxing and playing it live on Twitch later today if you're interested 😉
I FINALLY GOT A CAPTURE CARD FOR MY SWITCH! 💪 I've been wanting to do some chill gaming streams from time to time, but I simply couldn't without a capture card! I do usually play games on my Switch after work anyway, so I thought: why not sharing a little bit of that! I did stream some games a little while back on Twitch... but I was never really that confortable since I NEVER play games on my PC. I'm in the process of repurposing the Twitch channel, so maybe you'll join me for some superchill, after-work, no stress streams if you like 😎
Side note: I'm finally starting to see the light at the end of the PhD-tunnel and I CANT WAIT for post-PhD life! 🙏

I wish I picked it up sooner, I was a bit hesitant at first after watching/reading various reviews (mostly negative, some mildly positive but RARELY very positive). Such an underappreciated and somewhat misunderstood game imo. Currently on my 3d playthrough 😉
The very first installment of PIXELARIUM is finally LIVE now!
Pixelarium = Pixel + Planetarium is a collection of "pixel planets" with different themes, all coexisting in the same Ricverse! I'd love Pixelarium to be an expanding project to express myself creatively.
The very first tileset is now up on itch.io and is called "Village of All Beginnings" as a reference to one of my favorite childhood games, Tomba! (1998).
This is version 1.0 of the tileset (including an animated character). I'd love to update the tileset with the feedback and suggestions I get. This is just the beginning ;)
I'm running a launch sale throughout the end of March, in case you're interested!
