Most RAG tutorials use clean text. Financial documents are not clean. Tables break under normal chunking, retrieval confuses one quarter for another, and the model fills the gap with a confident guess.
I build a pipeline that handles all three, live, on real filings. I cover table-aware chunking, hybrid retrieval with BM25 and Qdrant, reranking, and citations on every answer. I take questions at the end until they run out.

Three local models. Sixteen hard problems. One RTX 5090.
Muse Glimmer 15/16. Qwen 3.8 and Nemotron 3.5 tied at 14.
But three of the five failures were not wrong answers. The models simply ran out of tokens.
