Indian Railways is advancing rail safety through technology-driven initiatives, modern signaling systems and continuous infrastructure upgrades to ensure safer journeys for passengers.
A new journey begins with the Kasganj–Aishbagh Express. The service will connect key destinations across Uttar Pradesh, offering better accessibility and greater convenience for passengers.
The Chandigarh Railway Station is being redeveloped while keeping the station operational. This incident of water ingress is purely a temporary construction-stage phenomenon. During heavy showers, rainwater entered the concourse as construction of the permanent drainage system at both ends of the concourse is in progress. To control this water ingress, tarpaulin has been installed over all four drainage channels adjoining the 36-metre-wide concourse roof and rainwater is being diverted through flexible pipes adjoining the building in a non-passenger area. Soon, the work will be completed and thereafter temporary arrangements will be removed.
