With the newest patch you can now check your character’s winrate directly in the game. In the past we had to rely on third-party sites like Wavu Wank etc.
How do you feel about this feature? Personally, I never cared too much since stats are just a snapshot without context and ego boosting like tier lists. For example: I’ve got a 63.9% winrate with Steve Fox on PC and 54.5% with Asuka. You could argue now that Asuka is harder to use because of this Data, but let’s be real, she’s probably one of the most beginner-friendly characters to pilot in the game and her f2+3 alone is so strong that some Asuka players can skip the knowledge of defense and movement to reach even ranks like Supreme and G.O.D.
The Reality/The Context: Asuka was one of my first “new” picks that I played in Ranked without going through the Combos and Move Lists too much, while I only picked up Steve later on when I had already improved as a player. That difference is not reflected in the winrate.
So.. what about you guys? Do you care about winrates or just play for the fun of it?
