During the campaign, extensive awareness activities were undertaken through door-to-door outreach, social media, miking, wall stickers/paintings, hoardings, sensitisation programmes, community engagement and interaction with sanitation workers and service providers. Citizens and institutions were sensitised to avail septic tank cleaning services only through registered/authorised service providers and to use the 14420 toll-free helpline through the ULB.
