After my latest video about oil sticks I started to think how to store them so they don’t stick to each other and don’t create much more additional mess. Butcher’s tray is great for putting some of them in it when painting, but it gets bad when all of them are in it and you need to find particular color.

So I bought mini stretch film for packing and covered them all. Big sticks are covered in two parts: one for holding and one for the tip to remove it and refresh after using.

I also noticed that old Sennelier sticks are way stickier than the new ones: whether it’s their age or formula I don’t know.

I saw heaven (and now I can compare all kinds of oi sticks and review Posca’s pastel)

Did you know that sometimes whining on the internet counts as a request to the universe? I feel complete ^_^

Thinking of doing more in-depth video about this color selection and color mixing

I don’t know if anyone can benefit from this knowledge, but this box that sells on Jackson’s now for 77 cents is absolutely perfect to store around 60 NeoArt pastels. Name is simply Plastic Storage Box in Clearance category

Made a linocut to print myself a bag (and a t-shirt too maybe). It’s about the fact that there cannot be a question about whether or not you should make bad art - bad art creates an artist, without lots of bad art one cannot get to the point of making good art. And while you’re working on your bad art you already are an artist. So that’s exactly how my imaginary merch would look like
